This one is really wierd the more i think about it.
BC and MN. BC is on a roll and now they have to take 2 weeks off. MN plays poorly on fridays and solid on saturdays. I think both teams would liked to have played on Tuesday.
Ferris St and Union. Who ever does not get overwhelmed. But both are new.
The winner of the BC MN game will win it all. I have to go with MN. If the game were played this week i'd go BC.
I personally would like to see Ferris St play Minnesota - But I think Union will beat Ferris St and BC will defeat Minnesota. With BC winning the Title.

That's the final that I would like to see as well.
Just curious why you think that Union will beat Ferris? I'm a Ferris State alum so obviously I'm rooting for them. I don't know much about Union though. Is there is clear advantage for them?
I have no idea who will win but I agree the winner of the BC/Minnesota game will probably take the title.
I will fly down on Thursday morning and hope to catch both games.
I'd imagine Minnesota will be very physical to slow BC down and send a message. On BC's part, hopefully their PP will be clicking and put the Gophers on their heels and get the early lead.
As a BU alum I don't like to admit it but I think its BC's tourney to lose. They are a machine this year.
Maybe this is just semantics, but each of these teams lost at least 7 games ... there is no machine this year. The Paul Kariya Maine team and the Ed Belfour North Dakota teams were machines ... I don't think any of these teams are a prohibitive favorite.

Prediction: Minnesota over Ferris State
With BC winning 17 in a row coming in they are somewhat of a machine right now. By the way that Ed Belfour led team lost 8 that year. But man were they fun to watch. Seemed to score at will.
Thousands and thousands of Canadians on vacation there, I was in St Pete's one year, there were three rec hockey teams in my hotel alone, which wasn't very big, three floors, a motor hotel sort of thing. However, whether that translates into watching NCAA Hockey is another thing. Look at their sports networks as we were discussing here earlier. They cover NCAA Football and basketball extensively, don't give a cursory glance to hockey. Hockey! Good Hockey! in Canada go figure! It speaks to a whole different avenue of hockey discussion, reasons why people go to the games they do. In Canada, like many other places for various sports, that is a result of marketing conditioning, essentially Junior and Professional are offering an entertainment experience the colleges and universities cannot match. Even if they could, like some NCAA schools I believe, in these places sport is about more than making money.
Does anybody know how ticket sales have been? I can't imagine a large attendance since college hockey doesn't even exist in Florida.
Don't know the numbers for the Ferris State-Union game, although it was a decent crowd. BC-Minn had 18,605 which is apparently the highest ever for a first time host.
