Why was there no Gomez on the ice at the end ? Saw Gionta, Moen, Darche, Emelin (joking with Markov), White....no Gomez ?

Thank you for 5th overall.
With the sad, sad team you guys have I don't think drafting a spot or two higher is going to make any difference.

I'm not even sure that's the case. Not sure what the exact time is but other than the first part of the 3rd period, the Habs had zone time too.

Since Markov came back we were 4-3-6 or 14 points out of 26 points. Or (approximately) an 88-point-pace over 82-games, which would have put us 4-points out.

We definitely had a team good enough to finish Top-5 without the injuries and if Cammalleri performed how we thought he would.

Too bad.

Fun fact: Gorges and Cole are the only two guys to play all 82 games.

Montreal is going to get a great prospect regardless of drafting 1-4.

I'd be more concerned about Montreal's track record of developing prospects. They dont have a great record of developing stars, or bringing them along properly to allow them to thrive in this city.

No more tanking, what a ****** season this was. Good to see Staubitz score a 200 footer, and the reaction of his teammates.

I didn't believe in the "loser's mentality"... until I saw the Leafs this season.

That's what it means really. Every blocked shot is time the Leafs are in the zone shooting.

Another thing that will affect this though is PP time and the Leafs had more.

Suffice to say, though, low blocked shots doesn't mean "didn't want it enough".

Interesting stat, we didn't have to pull our starting goalie for our backup once this year.

Well, its Price who started most games, although it does indicate that Budaj wasn't terrible. What it also indicates is that we didn't really get blown out a whole lot.

I can't stand to watch RC at the press conference. Such a sad, pathetic thing.

You know it's a bizarre season when a Habs win over the Leafs can make the Leafs board so happy..

Nice gesture by Geoff Molson sending RC and his family on a vacation to anywhere in the world he wants to go.. Good luck RC wherever you end up next year..
