It would make sense if we were rebuilding. They'd still have to add imo.

That's what it would take to pull it from Howson. I think in that scenario they would want something back though, or take away Roy

CBJ 1st (1st overall)

for

NYI 1st (4th overall)
NYI 2nd (34th overall)
Grabner
Seems fair depending on how Bjs fans view Grabner

A struggling player, a player who has 1 goal, 0 assists for 1 point in 50 games and De Haan.

Nino has little value. I'd be thinking the Bjs would want Hamonic +

I don't see Snow moving Hamonic. Not even to land Nail.At 21/22 they think he's developing into a stud.

De Hann was named to this yr's AHL all-star team and looks NHL ready. There's been debate among nyi fans about which young blueliner, has higher nhl upside.

As a hab fan, if we got the 1st overall and thats what was offered, I'd be tempted to take it.

The odds are Columbus won't even end up with the 1st overall pick.

Toronto will not get the 1st overall thats a joke. They'll beat Montreal @nite and end up drafting 9th overall w/ their luck. Fire Burke already, 7 yrs no playoffs (barf)

I'm really surprised a Winnipeg fan is willing to deal Kane. He's what 21/22 and already a 30 goal scorer?

you would have to switch with Girardi with MDZ, at least.

To Columbus: Staal,Despres,2nd
Gives them a #1 center that's one of the best two way centers in the game an NHL ready defenseman and a throw in pick.
To Pitt: 1st overall+cheap throw in?
Pittsburgh finally gets a superstar to play with Crosby. And a fill in defenseman or something.

I never, ever thought I'd see the day when a Pittsburgh fan added Staal to a trade.

I think value is fair. Not sure who the throw-in from Columbus is.

Columbus would want Staal to agree to an extension first. He's a ufa in 2013

I mentioned it on their boards (and our boards) and got a mixed response from just about everyone.. it is the definition of proven for potential.
