“This place is fast. I mean fast, fast,” NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Juan Pablo Montoya said. “Our minimum speed this morning was over 180 mph through the corner when you think about it. We are doing easily over 210 mph at the end of the straight.
Will the series see restrictor plates back at Michigan?
It will be a lot warmer when they actually race there so I imagine the speeds won't be as great as they had in this tire test.
Also, Pocono Raceway is almost complete. They will be running a tire test later this month.
And last but not least, Kansas is being repaved and reconfigured.
If I had one specific criticism for NASCAR, it is that there is no changing of the guard or no hot young guns in the series. I recently watched parts of a NASCAR race and most of the field I recognize instantly from being when I watched a NASCAR race 10 years ago.

There is a lot of good young talent, like Brad Keselowski. The problem is that it is tough to get into the top 3(Hendrick, RCR, Roush Fenway). Not to mention it is harder to get sponsorship than it has been in the past. Heck, Matt Kenseth still doesn't have sponsorship for certain races this year.
Most of the young guns are racing in Nationwide waiting to fill a prime seat in Cup.
NASCAR driver Eric McClure, injured in a violent wreck in Saturday's Nationwide Series race at Talladega, Ala., was released from UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Ala., on Monday.
Team spokeswoman Emily Brandt said McClure suffered a concussion in the accident and mild internal bruising. She said he is expected to make a full recovery.
