I can feel the OP's pain... literally.

My true, best, non-custom shoe size is 11 Extra Wide. Finding shoes that match me perfectly is hard enough, and apparently Skechers and New Balance are about the only shoe companies that carry it.

Skates are a total nightmare for me. As I said, my foot is extra wide, but the heel is probably pretty normal for a guy my height. And, because my ankles are pretty average, the lip of the skate never fits me right, so I tape it around my leg.

Really annoying. Baking helps a little bit, but the lip is still always messed up for me.
