well i wouldn't bet on the sharks who have shown they aren't very good this year. but between them and van, i'd take stl, who i think don't know what awaits them in po land. vancouver would have 100% slaughtered us.
Whether it's by slaughter or by suffocation, a loss is a loss and that's what lays ahead for the Sharks.
I'd rather face the Blues than the Canucks. Their bottom-10 offense is going to cost them somewhere in the playoffs. I think the Sharks will take this one.
Problem is if the Sharks can't solve Hitchcock's stifling Low risk (Clog Neutral Zone) and High Reward (make other team pay) system, we're boned.

This series is going to be about big hits, wearing them down, and making sure we take advantage of every mistake. The Blues are a very beatable team. We have the depth to take these guys on. Our regular season record means nothing. These are the playoffs, and everything changes.
It's gonna be a long, tough series I think. We don't match up very well with the Blues but I'm confident we can wear them down over the course of a series. Sharks in 7.

True. That's why I think we can win in 6. 5 if we're better than we thought.
This will rely heavily on our bottom 6 guys if our top 6 guys get cancelled out by whatever they send our way; and our bottom 6 is pretty good if Handzus is out.
Kevin Hart of all people is probably gonna force this series to start Thurs/Sat. Ugh. Thanks for nothing you two bit hack of a comedian. lol
I should blame Scottrade Center for booking him for Friday the 13th. That's quite a big venue for Kevin Hart.

Blues are a good team and we did nothing to show that we match well against them during the regular season. Plus, we're spent from just getting to the show. Blues in 5 is realistic, hope i'm wrong.
Some of you need to get a grip. The Blues are now the hunted..this will be new territory for them. Sharks for the first time in a long time are the underdogs. They have nothing to lose.
This is where the Sharks need to prove they belong in these playoffs. Get ready for a defensive battle. Grind these *****es down. Niemi can't be just "decent", he needs to be great. Be patient, use our four lines to our advantage, and grind out some 2-1/3-2 wins. The Sharks should know what it takes to win a playoff series, the Blues don't. Most of all, just come out to play and take it to them.
Go Sharks.
Thank you!! I totally agree with you. If the Sharks do all that and play like they want to win, they can beat the Blues. Everybody please stop being so pessimistic and show some damn confidence in our guys! Sure we've had a really up and down season but we're obviously good enough to be in the playoffs so lets show some support! How long has it been since the Blues have won a playoff series?? The Sharks just need to stay out of the box, be quick and first to the puck and fire lots of pucks at Elliott.

True, but St. Louis is simply lacking in overall offensive talent. The Sharks can beat the Hitch's' system. I believe the Sharks have that extra gear in them for the playoffs.
