For the sake of humanity, you have to hope Leafs win it. Or else, Toronto can be justified, but Montreal would end up in flames because of winning.

Thanks to all on the forum, but especially those that understand that a lot of negativity (in some) is just a vice to help get through the hard times. Can't wait to speculate on the draft/trades/signings in the summer. Fore!

Frost thinks that Schenn will get traded but I see him as the type of player that Carlyle believes can be improved.

You guys think he goes?

I think Schenn has already improved under Carlyle. I hope they give him another year unless it's an offer Burke shouldn't refuse.

I wouldn't be surprised if Garth Snow and the Isles nab him -- whose their #2 centre behind Tavares?

Strome, possibly. Their back end is pretty ugly right now. It could go either way with them IMO.

Now that is how you tank Leafs. They must've watched the recent Raptors/Cavaliers game and taken notes. Beauty loss.

If Burke could land a #1 centre, then he goes.

Unless he works on his skating he's gone. Leafs have to many pylons. Slow lumbering skaters who can't handle the puck and contain a cycle.

Oh it's not a big deal for the Isles, they're going to be here again next year.

Isles are one team that I truly feel sad for (even as a Leaf fan ). Ownership sucks, management is worse, they have like 10,000 goalies every year.

What a disgrace tonight. 3rd string CBC commentators. Soon Calgary and Ottawa games are going to get priority over those Dion lead jerks.

Yes. I hope he goes and plays below average for another team.

Schenn is the only valuable D-man we have other than Gardiner, who is untouchable at this point. I think Schenn is definitely gone.

The game really was brought down by the broadcasters today.

There is way more light at the end of our tunnel.
That's a very simplistic way to look at it.

The Habs best prospects didn't play in the AHL this year. Most of them will be in the AHL next year though. What do you think will happen to the Bulldogs when Tinordi, Beaulieu, Gallagher, Kristo and possibly Forsberg come play for them... Yeah, I thought so.

Also, Price (24 yo) + subban (22 yo) + Pacioretty (23 yo) are better than any 3 young players you can put together on the Leafs.

And let's not forget that the Habs played without their #1 defenseman for 90% of the year yet finished only 2 points behind the Leafs in a year that everything went wrong.

The Habs are 2 year removed from a conference final and 1 year removed from a 7th game overtime to the eventual SC champion. I'd say it's pretty bold to call the Leafs, who've just missed the playoffs for the 8th consecutive time, in better shape than the Habs.

It's gonna be interesting to see what happens with both teams... These two franchises deserves to battle it out for first place... not for a lottery pick.

Hard times? Good grief! It's just a stretch of lousy seasons by a friggin' hockey team not the second coming of the Great Depression.

I'd take Kessel, Grabo, and Gardiner over those 3 in a heartbeat.

I'd take Kessel over Pacioretty and Gardiner over Subban, but it'd be hard for me to take anyone else over Price. The guy is a top goalie n the league. Very composed, excellent lateral movement, great reflexes, handles the puck like a 3rd defenseman and is an absolute game-stealer.

I'd probably take Subban over any leafs D, Kessel over any habs forward and Price over any leafs G. I'm biased I guess but I can easily admit Kessel would be habs best forward without competition.

might have to see how Kadri plays out because Kadri is probably closest comparison to Patrioreety regarding talents since Kessel is probably better than most of the Montreal players.
