Sounds like an impressive performance. Moose Jaw outshot Medicine hat 43 to 17.

Reider keeps on rolling. Bunz with a huge game. Good stuff.

Just looking over in the QMJHL... the Memorial cup winners from last year... Saint John Sea Dogs are putting up numbers like the Harlem Globetrotters. They've outscored their opponents 43-11 in 5 straight wins in the playoffs. Dominant looking team. Going to take an incrediby good team to knock them out of the way of another Memorial Cup.

Kristians Pelss had the crucial first goal in the Oil Kings/Wheat Kings game tonight. 3 points in 5 playoff games so far.

To put it in greater perspective - they don't even need their best player. Of the 9 goals scored today, Huberdeau had a whopping zero points; that is some tremendous depth.

Medicine Hat put themselves in a hole it looks like on the stat sheet. Etem got kicked out early, then a 5-min major penalty later on?

Bunz was keeping them in it.

Bunz save % is currently .946 for the playoffs.

Only 5 games played so far but still very impressive

Sounds like Bunz is our goalie of the future, have to like how Reider is playing also.

Do you guys think Bunz will start in OKC next year or in Stockton.

I don't think they'll go with 2 inexperienced guys next year in OKC. It'll likely be a vet + one of Roy or Bunz next season. I suspect Roy will get his shot next year.

I'd bet that Leneveu is that veteran starter they'll be retaining to play Olivier Roy or Tyler Bunz.

The problem with players like Danis and Gerber is that they have European options and aren't likely to stay in an organization without an NHL opportunity. I doubt Yann will be back.

If Khabi was done this year I would be pretty confident running with Danis as the back up. Would have said the same thing about Gerber last year too. Probably would have been happier with Gerber starting all year last year.

I would guess that you're right, but for the sake of argument, Hershey won the Calder Cup a couple of years ago with Holtby (20) and Neuvirth(21) as their goalies.

Obviously as an Oiler fan I'd rather see Roy and Bunz be the two guys in OKC, but being realistic, OKC still has to ice a winning product in order to attract fans, so it probably won't happen.

There's no legitimate reason to expect Gerber or Danis would be better over a large sample size than Khabibulin in the NHL.

Yeah, but they had a veteran starter at the beginning of the year. Holtby started in the ECHL.

Nor would I expect them too. Although I wouldn't expect them to put up worse numbers in a backup role either at a much better price tag, if he was no longer here.

Hey, I made that comparison! Like I said, I'm not sure that he'll ever be able to hit Eberle's level, but the playing style seems similar

But yeah, never really seen his picture and the video I've got has been pretty low resolution. I think the only thing that's missing is the stoner eyes

First of all i would like to say congrats on winning the first pick. I am huge fan of the oilers and even more so if you guys take Yakupov. I was wondering about the prospect klefbom. Will he be nhl ready next season or need more time in the swedish league. I have been wondering because i was impressed with him in the recent world juniors.

I think he'll either spend another year in farjestad or in the AHL(hopefully) so that he can adapt to the NHL ice. I doubt he'll be in the NHL unless he has an amazing training camp.

I was going to change "season" into "playoffs", but holy hell, did MBS do it again?

Bunz just facing a monumental # of shots in that series, 48 saves out of 52 shots in a loss last night.
