I remember a certain Ryan Kelser suprisingly starting for the Canucks in 2007... I am sure this is all part of the plan.

Thanks for the name drop.
However, with this type of injury, you can never say he will be back to start the playoffs. I'll wait till he's cleared for contact first.

Eric Francis is quite credible in my experience. He has good working relationships with Laurence Gilman and Lorne Henning.

Of course you would, as would anyon, I think what Farhan and Botch are saying is that he is right on schedule and looks like if it all progresses well, he will be ready for game 1.
He could be cleared for contact on Monday. Point is Francis lives in Calgary, and if I'm Vancouver managment you bet I say he isn't close. Vancouver is extremely guarded about their team and injuries. They are going to say whatever they can to throw off the media.

I think people almost guaranteeing Daniel would be back for Game 1, was a stretch to begin with.

I wouldn't expect AV to tip his hand regarding Daniel if he was healthy. Make the Kings prepare for us with him and without him.

Wonder if we'll see Ballard at some point?
Same with Kassian.

Daniel could be ready to return, or he's still weeks away for all we know. No one in the Canucks org. is saying anything about Danny's status so I'm not entirely believing anyone's rumours until I hear from AV/MG.

Would we go as far as to have Henrik get dressed and skate on his own, and say it was actually DANIEL, and that he's close to being healthy?
Now THAT would be gamesmanship.

I hope now that the regular season is over, that management comes and gives the straight poop on all injuries.

We'll pretty much find out on Monday if Daniel will be ready for Game 1. If he's at practice skating with the team, there's definitely hope he'll be back for Game 1 (or at the latest Game 2).
Was hoping Game 1 would start on Thursday...but it sounds like it'll be a Wednesday start.

The uncertainty keeps everyone off balance. Maybe even the Kings.

Playoffs means the exact opposite.
We won't get a straight story now on injuries until the season's done.

Day to day. Everybody's day to day. So frustrating.
Carter's already said he's playing, even though he's still injured. Sucks that Kings fans get to know stuff about their team and we don't get to know the same about our team. I guess it does give us an advantage knowing exactly how Carter is injured. Hopefully the boys make him block a lot of shots.
