I think the Canucks are going to show a gear no one has seen and I'm not sure the Kings have another gear TBH. They've been playing playoff hockey and are going to be worn out.
We've been training for the last few months to win 1-goal games.
Shutdown kopitar, and theres not much offense in LA.
Pahlsson on Kopitar.
use our speed to forecheck them, because if we don't, kings got some big forwards to forecheck us.
And make sure to screen quick as much as possible.
It's time canucks fan experience Sami "the bull" Pahlsson in playoff mode.
plus roof the puck as high as possible i remember 2 yrs ago. jonathan quick always went into the splits and left sooo much room up top. special teams well pp for vancouver basically sucks lol. so beat them 5 on 5.
Compared to going into the playoffs last year, this year's edition of the team has played in a lot more tightly contested, close games. That experience, combined with last year's run, should really help them be able to better deal with teams like tight defensive teams like LA. The only thing I'm worried about is the power play, but even then the Canucks have been able to get by the last couple months with operating at almost half the rate it was at the beginning of the season.
The thing I like the most about playing the Kings is that they seem to lose their composure whenever they play against Vancouver. Although his offense is great against the Canucks, Doughty sucks in his own end when he plays against Vancouver (relatively speaking, of course). For whatever reason, Quick doesn't play all the great against us compared to how he plays against other teams. The Canucks still have another gear that they can go to entirely and I'm not quite sure if the Kings have that right now. I think the Canucks should be able to take this one in 5 or 6, but there are going to be a few that are really tight.

That's the one huge advantage.
Agreed. I remember heading into the playoffs last season, there were concerns that this team hadn't showed any extra gears or physicality throughout the entire season because we were able to coast. First playoff game against Chicago, and we came out like gangbusters, hitting everything in sight, and flying with our speed and hustle. These playoffs will be the same.
Gotta love playoff hockey in Vancouver...I'm very fortunate that since I've moved here in my first full year living here that the Canucks went to the finals..
