Yeah, I always remember it being on Sunday night, usually on ABC back in the day.
Me too. I might have to check if it's on demand so I can watch it after we get back from the "inlaws" tomorrow. Just doesn't feel like Easter if I don't watch it.
wasn't a fan of the schindler's list movie but schindler's life was really interesting. i am a...how to say without it coming off as insensitive...i am an interested party(?) in the holocaust and nazi germany. i find that part of world history fascinating.
I know what you mean. World War II fascinates me too - I'm a big history buff.
The Ten Commandments is wonderful because it's the epitome of the Cecile B. DeMille cast of thousands fantastically cheesy blockbuster. Edward G. Robinson sounds like he wandered over from a gangster movie, Charlton Heston is So Serious, Anne Baxter is pure camp, Yul Brenner is unintentionally hilarious, John Derek is Handsomely Heroic... it's just priceless.
The special effects were impressive for the day, and the scene with the angel of death scared me when I was a kid (though Derek almost ruins it with his "HEY EVERYBODY LOOK AT THAT!" entrance), but overall it's an absolute hoot. Pity it was never featured on MST3K.
Mayhem looks sick this year, lot of big name bands. I feel like Asking Alexandria would be dirty live. Mostly heavier stuff than I listen to, (AA, AA!, Alesana, Escape the Fate, BFMV, etc.) but gotta love it
I've gone to the Palladium the past 3 years with people from college. Freshman year was Bullet with Chiodos and Airbourne, Sophomore year was Escape the Fate with Alesana Motionless in White, and Get Scared. This year was Falling in Reverse with Oh Sleeper and Skip the Foreplay (they're kinda odd, but sound ridiculous live).
I'm strictly going for Upon A Burning Body.........maybe some slayer, slipknot & anthrax as well
I know there are a few camera buffs here in this thread, so I need some advice and opinions. My wife and I are looking to upgrade from our camera and want to get a SLR that will allow us to grow. Anyone have any recommendations? Also, what type of lenses should we get? We're basically looking for a good camera to take pics of the kids. We have a hard time getting them to hold still, so we'd want something that can capture action.

Cinde and Oren are the two serious camera folks I know. I got their opinions and ended up getting a Nikon D3100, along with an additional 55-300 mm zoom lens. The best deal i found was at best Buy, believe it or not. Here's a link to the package I got. (I actually noticed that it's now $50 less than what I paid last weekend - I'll be heading back to "exchange" it for the difference)
I haven't had much chance to use it yet, but so far, I really like it. Now that my reffing season is done, I'll have more weekend time to learn more about it too. I have a feeling I'll move from spending my weekends in a hockey rink to spending it behind a camera...
