If they play anything at all like they did against SJ, they have no chance. They were horrendous......constantly trying to beat guys 1 on 3, giving the puck away in the slot, etc.

King-Richards-Williams

Clifford-Fraser-Nolan

Scuderi-Doughty
Mitchell-Voynov
Martinez-Greene

Quick
Bernier

I like our chances. 3rd line will shut down that top unit. Sedins should have a huge series.

****ing destroy this *****es.
Line up will be

Brown - Kopitar - Williams
Carter - Richards - King(Maybe Gagne)
Penner - Stoll - Lewis
Clifford - Fraser - Nolan

Scuderi - Doughty
Mitchell - Voynov
Martinez - Greene

Quick
Bernier

I am happy that the Kings got the Canucks. A different reason then most Kings fans. Got to beat the best to be the best.

THIS. My best guess:

Game 1: Wednesday the 11th @ VAN
Game 2: Friday the 13th @ VAN
Game 3: Sunday the 15th @ LA
Game 4: Wednesday the 18th @ LA
Game 5: Thursday the 19th @ VAN (or Sunday the 22nd @ VAN)

Need to get to Quick early and rattle him. Crash his crease, jam away and shoot high.

Must use our team speed to our advantage.

Imperative that we win the first two games, I don't like the LA ice - it let's them play to their strong suits.

well we can target more than one player.

top 3 guys to hit/wear down: kopitar, richards, doughty

Voynov has a pretty decent skill set, but yeah, that kings defense is rather slow. We should be able to pounce on them.

Thanks. Looking at the Staples Centre website, it looks like it's going to be tough to get any continuity in this series.

The Staples Centre is booked April 13-17 for basketball, making Wednesday April 18 the earliest day for Game 3. It's also booked April 19 and 20, leaving Saturday April 21 the only day available for Game 4.

Have to think the Canucks will play Thursday and Saturday for Games 1 and 2 so that there isn't a huge gap between every game.

EDIT: I guess the other alternative would be an afternoon game on Sunday the 15th, but does that happen in the playoffs? I don't think so.

They can play Game 3 on Sunday at night. Plenty of time to flip from basketball to hockey and then back again. Of course, this will mean crappy ice conditions.

See my above post for a likely schedule for the first 5 games.

Ah, didn't notice that game was an afternoon game. I can't imagine the schedule will be much different than what you just posted.

Wooo, gonna be a blast of a series, much more entertaining than a SJ/Van series. Hopefully we can save SJ for round 2! Nucks in 6, let the hate flow and the blood boil.

Who wants to place some odds for the first Doughty tantrum? I'm going to go with Game 2 in the second period.

UGH yeah Alberts was acquired at the deadline and he sucked badly, now he's alright with a year under the system.

O'Brien was a hot mess, seems like he couldn't wait for the Roxy or something..just all over the place and taking stupid penalties, plus bad defensive coverage

Get Quick moving side to side, and shoot high. Quick is a smaller goalie, and leaves the top half of the net wide open more often then not. He's yet to prove he is a decent playoff goalie, too.
