Just got the iPhone! What Apps should I get? Plus a question.
Hey guys, can you recommend me some good apps? Anything from games to good programs. I already got ScoreMobil, i know that is the best sports app (right?)
Also quick question, they set me up at the store with my Gmail which is good, but I also have an AOL account that I want set up on the phone. How can I do that? I searched the phone a bit but came up empty so far. Thanks in advance.
I preferred Yahoo Sportacular on the iPhone. Definitely the quickest push updates. There were times when I was watching the Sabres at home and I'd have an end of the period update literally 3-5 seconds after the period was over. On Android, I find Scoremobile to be better.

Yahoo sportacular - updated scores for almost every sport you can imagine
Home Depot app - have probably saved over 500$ this year as for some reason everything is cheaper on the app compared to the shelf prices and they always match the app price.
Something Ive recently come across is Sonic 1&2. They play exactly like the originals on Sega Genesis except it actually saves your game. Controls are well done and easy to get use to. And only around $3.
Ive been playing almost non-stop the past couple days.
I recently downloaded Instagram and I love it. It's awesome for your pictures.
I'm not a huge game player on my iPhone, the apps I mainly use are scoremobile, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, but when I play a game, I'm playing Temple Run most of the time. It's a damn addictive game.
Another question, is there a way to get my e-mail to notify me of a new e-mail when i get it. Right now I have to manually click e-mail for it to check if i have any new mail. Thats kinda a pain...

In Settings -->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -->Fetch New Data set to "Push"
However I don't think AOL will push email, so you would either have to set it to "Fetch" at specified intervals or you may want to try setting it up as an Microsoft Exchange account. Here are the instructions for doing it with gmail...should be similar for AOL if it will work but you will need to find the AOL Domain/Server settings.

So many damn people have Instagram nowadays.
I use the Pro HDR app for pics.

Not to highjack the thread too much but my mother recently got an iPhone and I'm trying to get a data monitor on it for her so she can keep an eye on her cap usage, the thing is, setting up an app store account is proving difficult for her (and I agree some of the security stuff on setup is just a pain in the ass).
Is there some way I could get my hands on the IPK file for the app I wanted and then just copy it across from a PC? I looked around and found some programs that suggest they can put an App on the phone, but then I'm not sure how to go about downloading the app in the first place...
