FYI- Kings Fans in San Diego... if your cable company just added Fox Sports San Diego here is the listing for Thursday. I know many fans don't get Prime Ticket but Fox Sports SD looks like it may pick up some Kings games. Every year I pray that the Kings games are still broadcast in SD and that the Ducks games are not.

Unfortunately, FSSD did NOT pick up the season finale on Saturday, so San Diego fans are SOL for TV coverage of that one.

Total bummer. I wonder how many viewers they gain or lose on the KCOP games?

Another note for Center Ice users on the final game. The game is on the NHL Network so it will likely not be on the Center ice channels.

Hopefully the NHL Network picks up the Kings feed... Although since it's a local station. I doubt it.

Welcome to my world most of the season. I can't afford to pay the outrageous prices my cable company charges for NHL CI, so beyond the games on Canadian TV and WGN (which for some reason can show Hawks local games in Canada) I have to find streams. Due to Hockey Night In Canada having exclusive national Saturday night rights, I don't get to see Saturday's game on the NHL Network either.

Speaking of TV...anyone seen the promos for the playoffs? I've noticed that NBC added CNBC as a broadcast network for the playoffs. So it looks like we'll get a lot of channels showing the playoffs.

I'm so pissed about FSSD. I have Time Warner here in San Diego, which doesn't offer FSSD. The previous years, any game on Prime Ticket was blacked out, but this year, before FSSD I got all Prime Ticket games on my GameCenter. Despite the fact that only Cox and the dish companies get FSSD right now, games on Prime Ticket are blacked out again.

I had to watch the last game on an illegal feed on my computer from Sweden, and will have to do the same tomorrow, despite having full cable in HD as well as GameCenter.

With the KCOP game, I'm not sure if it will be blacked out for GC for San Diego folks, but I'll be in LA so no worries there.

Yep! It seems like they're doing what they did for the last Winter Olympics, where they're showing just about every game, just one different channels.

I just hope we don't get screwed out of Bob and Jim for any games!

hawks games are carried by comcast sports and wgn here in chicago. now that wgn (tribune corp) and DirecTv are at war - none of the wgn feeds will be DTV. the games that comcast sports has should be fine.

who does the PbP and color on KCOP? i pray its Bob and Jim doing it and the NHLN picks that up. then again it would be great to listen to the SJ homers as their team chokes and dies to the Kings

Bob and Jim do KCOP broadcasts. Since it's the Sharks home game, and the NHL seems to love picking up the Sharks feed, I'm guessing NHLN will pick them up.

While indications are that Time Warner is often to blame in negotiations, I would find it infuriating as well. Not trying to rub it in but it's hilarious that I could immediately watch the Padres game on Cox here in Vegas because they show the games here as a secondary market (in addition to carrying FSW and PT already) but many people in San Diego can't even get FSSD. This should be an immediate priority for the cable/satelite companies because of the local tv ratings generated. Time Warner/U-Verse/Dish all don't have deals with FSSD yet so their primary market can't even watch the channel.

Thanks! Seriously, it makes NO sense. We do get Padres games on a local channel (or used to, now with FSSD, I'm not sure we will now).

Well this sucks. Biggest game of the year and here in Canada on the Center Ice package, they don't have a HD feed! What the hell? There isn't even any other games being played at that time on Center Ice. DAMN!!!

Game is gonna be on the NBC Sports Channel now for fans outside of the LA market.

Although we'll probably all be stuck with the Sharks feed since NBC is cheap!

Aren't they all like that? The games I have seen on the old Versus...now NBCSports, seem to take one of the team's cable channel feeds.

I know they have a national broadcasting team, but I've only seen those guys on weekends.

At least the Saturday Kings game on NBCSports will start on time as there will not be another game immediately preceding it. Two Kings games recently were joined-in-progress as the early game had not ended on time. (Note: with the last two playoffs on Versus, IIRC, three or four Kings games were jip as far along in the game as the end of the first period. Pathetic!!!!! The NHL should ensure that NEVER happens. It is an insult to the loyal fans.)

For the playoffs, NBCSports has an alternate channel, plus other NBC owned channels will (I'm pretty sure) be used as necessary to cover for overlapping or extended overtime games.

Do you know if San Diego counts as "outside of the LA market" for this instance?

In Canada, we don't get DirecTV, unless you have an illegal dish. However, most cable companies carry WGN packaged with the movie channels. So the games WGN shows are shown in Canada. But CBC has an exclusive Saturday night national agreement, most of the time US TV networks have to either black out things that conflict with Canadian rights or have a separate Canadian feed. WGN for some reason does not have to do this.
