Sure, only if you absolutely can't find dedicated people.
Doing this severely improves the teams picking 1st in the fantasy draft (which is based on last year's results, yes?)
I do not think they will be put into the main fantasy draft if we do it. I'm trying to come up with a way to do it to be fair.
The draft order is determined by last years results in a way. Teams get to pick what position they want to draft in (1-20). Last place team gets to pick first

Yeah, I thought about that too.
There are plenty of players that would be available, and it wouldn't really matter since it would be a snake draft (I'm guessing). I just listed 23 players, so every team would get at least one good player from one of the teams getting removed. Teams selecting towards the end of the 1st round would even get a 2nd good player (from that list) in the 2nd round, so it's pretty even.

Dammit. That means I'll be picking middle of the pack. It sucks the Kings are going so far. I hope Quick doesn't have a Cup hangover going into next season. Let's be honest, he is the only reason I won.
Prospects are protected, right?
What if I have one guy who is guaranteed to be an NHL player next season? Do I have to use one of my keeper options on him to keep him?

Not really sure what you're asking. The players drafted in the prospect draft are protected as long as this league is going.

Alright. I'm talking about Jake Gardiner. He played all season with the Leafs last year, and will play with them next year, so I basically have an NHL player in my prospect list.

Did you draft him in the prospect draft last year?
