My cat of 14 years had to be put down today because of FIP. Tis not a fun day at all.

Very sorry for your loss
My cats are 13 this year and one is starting to show his age. I'm not at all prepared for when their time comes.

Sorry vcv. I'd be devastated to lose Cohen or Timmy.

Wouldn't that just make them look really oddly shaped?

I forgot to show this...so, for V-Day, my GF had this painting commissioned for me, it's a one of a kind...this picture of it sorta sucks because it doesn't show the colors really well, but if I used flash it left a flare effect....but it showed up a couple weeks ago and it truly is awesome.

Mickelson basically just buried his chance at a 4th Masters in the woods. Went from -8 to -5 in one hole.

Sorry for your loss Volatile
Thoughts and prayers with you and your family.
I remember how tough it is and still miss my dog, as we put him to sleep on my birthday last year

Thanks for the thoughts everyone. Still tough whenever I turn around and expect her there.
I spent part of the day with family, then came home and got to play with my Arduino. Actually got it to display the temperature and fancy stuff on a 20x4 LCD. Pretty fun.

That sucks about the cat, Volatile. I'll genuinely be pretty broken up when one of our furballs goes. It's bothering me just thinking about the prospect of it.

Anyone have a realtor they might recommend? We're looking to sell in Tonawanda and put an offer in for a place in Clarence / East Amherst.

Yeah, that was the original plan, but getting locked into a 3.875% 30 year / fixed is pretty attractive. We're also cozying up to the thought of getting the place now and moving / renovating / decorating while we're at our least busiest (i.e., before kid #2).
With rates what they currently are, I'm thinking the opportunity cost of buying now rather than saving up more for a down payment is either negligible or potentially negative, so... yup!
A whole lot of moving pieces right now, but it's exciting.
