Except it would be at 10am, because that's how NBC likes to roll with Sunday games.
NHL doesn't have home games at 10:00am local time. We are talking about Game 6 in SJ. NHL never starts before noon LOCAL time. I thought this was common knowledge. Plus even if Game 6 in SJ would have been on a Sunday, it wouldn't have to be an NBC game early in the day, it could have been another network later in the day, even evening.

And I thought it was common knowledge that the Sharks have never won an afternoon Sunday game. Plus, afternoon games suck the fat one. It's the worst thing to attend, and just doesn't feel right.
If you cannot tell, I hate hate hate hate hate hate Sunday afternoon games. HATE them.

5 or 6pm local time wouldn't really be afternoon. They could have done that, but didn't. Oh well.

Why Sunday vs. Saturday? What's the difference? Sharks won an early NBC weekend home game last year in the playoffs. Game 2 vs. Detroit. Short memory? Sharks going up 2-0 on the Wings didn't feel right?? Come on now.
NHL Network idiots all pick Blues to win. Paul Maurice says JT will step up though.
They mention Sharks bad PK, but not #2 PP in the league.
Not surprised.
Can't be underdogs if we're picked to win. NHLN can focus on the regular season, despite that is never a good indicator for who will win a series. I like our chances. Hopefully we'll get some shocked Blues fans in a couple weeks.

Wait I don't think I got it - what is your opinion on Sunday noon games?
I genuinely believe that the Sharks win this series. It won't be easy for either of the teams. If the Sharks can remain in beast mode like they were against in Dallas and Thursdays LA game and improve their PK, I say we have a great chance.
I also think they have something to prove considering its been a while since every pundit has written them off in the 1st round. This isn't about shaking off the choker label right now. They can stand behind the goal of proving everyone wrong.
As I said, I think Sharks in 7, mainly because of 2000 and the fact that even though Hitchcock brings cup winning experience, the only playoff leaders on the team are Arnott and Langenbrunner.
I really wish the Sharks would open up the Tank to fans to watch the road playoff games on the jumbotron. They did this years ago. It was a great idea where you just had to make a $5 donation at the door and then you could go in and watch the game on the jumbotron. Back then it was a crappy jumbotron too so think of how much more amazing it would be on the HD one.
I just checked the HP Pavilion calendar and there aren't any other events in the vicinity of game 1 and 2 of the series. Game 5 does overlap with the Sabrecats home game though.
I'll probably be cheering for you guys in this series. Haven't like the Blues and their fans since the EJ trade. You guys on the other hand have been really classy in regards of the McGinn trade etc.

Good point, but usually no more than 5,000 fans show up for those types of things. Even if the Tank was full, 17,000 households (assuming each person would be watching alone at home) wouldn't be a huge drop in ratings.
But if that really is the reason, they might as well do that starting round 3 when the games are exclusively nationally televised.
I have the FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) Exam on Saturday. 8 hour test, followed by speeding home like a madman to see the Sharks in game 2.
Please don't get your ass kicked in game 2 guys, I deserve some kind of happiness on that evil day.
Good luck! When I took it in October, we won the game that night in OT against the Islanders. We did get that PP from a BS call though lol. Are you taking it in San Mateo? One of the prompters looked like a reincarnated and much younger Al Davis. I kinda wanted to say, "Just pass, baby!" to him haha.
haha, we're definitely gonna need a few beers after that bad boy.
And to CJL, yeah we're taking it in San Mateo, so I'll be sure to give Al Davis your regards.
That is one of the dullest tests I have ever taken. When I took it I had to drive like a madman to get an hour of tailgating in before a football game, they really need to schedule these around sports better
I personally am happy the Sharks don't have any weekend games and our two weekend games are in St. Louis. If the games in St. Louis are on Saturday or Sunday, I can watch the whole thing, if they're on a weekday, I'm stuck at work. I don't understand the complaint about no weekend games at HP.
