Other thread hit 1,000 posts. I don't think this one will make it there, but I'll retire it at the end of June as players do go on waivers prior to being bought in the last couple weeks of June.
He's played the last few games even it is was only for 4 minutes. I don't know why they're gonna send him to Norfolk cause we have much better and younger players there and I hope he doesn't take their shifts. Aullie will be going down next week. Can we send J.T Brown down? He'd be great down there and get much needed experience?

No, as part of his signing for us he isn't allowed to play for Norfolk this year. Not sure of the exact rule.
I knew Leighton was still with Philly. Why re-call him now though? Bryz isn't hurt that I know of and Bobrovsky is ready to jump in whenever. Is it just some added goaltender insurance for that just-in-case scenario?

Must be.. The Philly Phantoms (AHL team) didn't make the playoffs, so if he wasn't recalled he'd just be relaxing, doing nothing/not staying sharp.

Maybe because if one or both those guys got hurt lets say the Flyers are playing the Bruins in round 2 than the Bruins could claim him just to F the Flyers over.

He's one of the "Black Aces". He had to clear waivers so he was called up a day before the other guys from the phantoms.
The "Black Aces" are essentially the back-up squad in case of injury. I'm sure most teams have a similar system in place if their AHL team is out of the playoffs.
Mike Moore and Michael Leighton clear re-entry waivers.
I'm surprised the Caps didn't go for Leighton. He'd have to be a better backup than Dany Sabourin, and it'd be nice to let Hershey have a goalie again.

I don't think they could play for another team if claimed in the playoffs. You would be claiming that player for basically no reason (as Moore for instance is a UFA after this season).
