Pelech got a major for spearing at the end of OT. Sounds like a nutjob.
He's also one of our most solid defensemen, plays on a mission no matter what is happening, blocks probably 10-ish shots a game and can play pretty solid at wing (like he did last night...)... you can't have everything, haha.
This is the video that I've found so far but it's pretty much just after things were broken up. The whole setup of teams having to cross each other to get from the bench to the locker room is dumb. It was my first trip up to Portland and I probably won't be able to go back without going to jail .
Jimmy Bonneau is trash, sucker punching someone in hockey is not acceptable. Even more after the game is already over, this should not be allowed to go unpunished by your teams management.
Don't be surprised if him and Pelech get hit hard by the league as they should.

As should Sterling, who is subject to a six game suspension for leaving the dressing room at the end of OT. I'm also expecting Mark Lemelin to be hearing from the AHL for his massive amounts of rules errors in the game.

Not even comparable but it was clearly considered by Mark Lemelin and he allowed him to come back. Not really up to the player if the ref says he can come back.
He should of not even been removed from the game and it should of been over on the OT goal, he was not in the crease at all (http://i42.tinypic.com/ivbexl.jpg). that's hockey it happens, what some the players on the Wsharks did was not.

I know he wasn't in the crease, and I even said so on Twitter right after the goal was waved off and on Sharkspage this morning.
But no matter if he should or should not have been given a misconduct, he was. And as soon as he stepped back on the ice he was subject to the suspension. The fact the referee allowed him back is immaterial.

Looks like Eckford tried to spear Pelech in the face at the 52 second mark.
According to Chris Roy at the Maine Hockey Journal the AHL is indicating that Sterling was eligible for the shootout despite the rule prohibiting him from taking part being crystal clear.
I don't follow or know much about the QMJHL, but isn't 37/87 in 68 games a lot?
Yes, it is - even if he's 20. He led the Q in scoring by 23 points.
A bit of a scouting report on him from this season (March):
Quote:
A player with a great offensive talent, a good peripheral vision, soft hands and an incredible skating, Gourde can also play with an extra edge and is not afraid to mix it up even tough he is not very big as shown by his 70 penalty minutes this season. Gourde also has eight game-winning goals (24.24% of his 33 goals), which shows he can produce under pressure in clutch situations.
If there's anyone who would like to go to a Worcester home game in these next/last 3 games I have a lot of ticket vouchers left. Games are tonight, Friday and Sunday.
PM with how many you want and where you'd prefer to sit. I can leave at Will Call under your name (need ID to pick up)
