4/10: Columbus retaining No. 1 pick after 2012 NHL Draft Lottery, 8 p.m. EDT
Odds by me. It is close to 50-50 as to whether or not Columbus keeps or loses the No. 1 pick as a result of the draft lottery, so these odds are both close to the 1.00 multiplier as a result.
Columbus keeps it = 48.2% (482 combinations) = This means Columbus wins the lottery OR a team outside the bottom five of the regular season standings wins the lottery and Columbus isn't displaced as a result.
Columbus loses it = 51.8% (518 combinations) = This means EDM, MTL, NYI or TOR win the draft lottery to jump up to the No. 1 pick and displace Columbus to the No. 2 pick.
