A few of points.

First, Malkin is spectacular, but he has this tendency to cough the puck up or pass it directly to the opposing player on the PP. That really needs to be fixed.

Second, I really think that the Pens the past few games have been trying to get Malkin 50 more than anything, so that has obviously effected the way they played to a degree.

Third, defense. We will know soon enough if the Pens were playing possum and will come out with a more defensive game plan, even at the expense of some offense. I still wonder if this is so, as the Pens have the players who have played this style before.

Which is obviously true, especially on the PP, so let's wait until the playoffs to hate something (not saying it's you).

The Western Conference, especially, looks like open season for anyone. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the bottom seeds beat the top seeds.

In the East, I would be surprised if either Florida or Ottawa moved on (I'm not sold on Florida, even though they "won" their division).

Ottawa has more offensive weapons than the Rangers. If Hank doesn't play to his potential, Rangers will have trouble scoring enough IMO.

Caps/Bruins should be a decent series. Boston should pull it out, but Caps as an underdog is something new so we'll see.

The looks on the faces of the two Flyers fans in the crowd says it all, really.

Gotta love Joe Victory, staple his ass to that line for the next few years. What a momentum-builder any time we need it.

I was really pumped that the Caps were playing the Rangers because I seriously thought they would upset them... until I realized the Sens are in eighth and now both Boston and NYR will likely advance IMO. Displeased about that.

Other than the wild card of Florida vs NJ, I don't think any lower seeds will win in the East.

Probably why Orpik won the "Player's player" award back to back. The guy's a leader, and if Sidney Crosby wasn't a Penguin, he'd be wearing that "C" on his jersey.
The day Brooks was drafted, they said that he would be the captain of the Penguins one day.

Maybe Adams - Talbot - Zolnierczyk could have a threeway fight to see who is the worst fighter in the league.

I hope during the playoffs that Bylsma doesn't over use Sid and Geno on the PP, they're susceptible to turnovers when they've already been on the ice for 1.15.

On February 14, 2007, Zolnierczyk was arrested and interviewed by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) for his role in the production and distribution of a pornographic video involving an underage girl. While Zolnierczyk's then Alberni Valley Bulldogs teammate Brad Harding engaged in consensual sex with the underage girl at the home of Harding's billet family in November 2006, Harding's computer webcam transmitted the images to Zolnierczyk who saved and distributed the video to teammates. After showing the video to friends of the victim, RCMP was alerted and with Harding already being interviewed by police, Zolnierczyk was arrested. After pleading guilty to two counts of electronic voyeurism, Zolnierczyk was sentenced to a three-year conditional discharge on June 6, 2008. Following the completion of his three-year sentence, Zolnierczyk was left with no permanent criminal record
So who wants to photoshop Vitale's head on Chris Hansen's body?

"Hello Mr. Zolnierczyk, why don't you have a seat?"

I remember that being posted on the Prospects board but I forgot it was Zolnierczyk. He was only 19 at the time but still there is no excuse for doing something like that. He does have a kick ass name though,Harrison Zolnierczyk.

Want to hear something funny? If Tyler Kennedy puts up 34 points instead of 33 this season, he also sets a career high in points per game. Even a whipping dog had a within-expectations season despite injuries. TK had a career high in assists per game. Maybe he should pass more.
