As people have said, don't hold your breath for Silfverberg. When he's done, Sens would need to be in a game 6 or 7 and chances are that people have done something right by then, to merit staying in the lineup.
And no immediate plans for Ziba to draw in as he's going to play Friday and Saturday in Bingo.
Senators RW Chris Neil didn’t make the trip on Saturday after being hurt in a fall in practice. Kaspars Daugavins replaced him in the lineup. - New York Daily News
Monday's Practice Lines
Forwards:
Greening - Spezza - Michalek
Foligno - Turris - Alfredsson
Smith - Winchester - Neil
Klinkhammer - Konopka - ButlerDefence:
Kuba - Karlsson
Phillips - Gilroy
Cowen - Gonchar
Goaltenders:
Anderson
Bishop
I like the lines that Mendes noted - having Winchester playing with Neil and ZSmith on a checking line would be a wise choice. That would be a tough, experienced line to play against for any top players on the Rangers. It's great having #18 back in the lineup.
Me likey.

If we're going to do any damage in the playoffs, that line will have to be elite for us. Not only will they have to be extremely hard on the forecheck and good defensively, but they'll need to chip in a few goals. It's possible they can do this.

I honestly think that line is capable of stepping up to the task. Winnie's only real drawback is his lack of offensive production. Neil's a warrior and the perfect energy line tough-guy. Smith has shown to be a Winnie with better offence. Two guys there who can take draws. Two guys who can fight (don't really want Winnie risking himself after a concussion). Three guys who can crash and bang and work the corners.

Not a fan of OBrien but rangers are going to play tough so size and speed matter. Greening, Klink, Michalek, Winchester, Neil, Foligno and Smith and even Obrien will have to keep pounding on that young Rangers D if the sens are going to have a chance to make it past them.
This would be my lineup to start the playoffs but I doubt either Zibanejad or Klinkhammer get to see much ice time. Instead I think Maclean will dress Daugavins & Condra to play with Smith.
Greening - Spezza - Michalek - need to play great for this team to advance Foligno - Turris - Alfredsson - need to provide secondary scoring Klinkhammer - Winchester - Zibanejad - all three hit & all three can score Z. Smith - O'Brien - Neil - these three need to mix things up
extras - Konopka/Butler/Daugavins/Condra/Hoffman
Kuba - Karlsson - both these guys need to provide points Cowen - Gonchar - need secondary scoring & pts Phillips - Gilroy/Carkner - if these two could also provide some pts that would be great
Anderson - Bishop - need to have stellar goaltending
Greening-Spezza-Michalek
Foligno-Turris-Alfie
Daugavins-Smith-Condra (chemistry when they play more than a handful of shifts together)
Winnie-JOB-Neil (not a true 4th line, more like Line 3b)
Kuba-Karlsson
Gonchar-Cowen
Phillips-Gilroy (Gilroy's old team; Carkner would've drawn against a more physical team to start the round)
Anderson
Bishop
Clinkhammer brings size, but otherwise he is a Chum clone minus the occasional scoring. He will rotate with Daugavins if necessary.
Greening-Spezza-Michalek
Foligno-Turris-Alfie
Daugavins-Smith-Condra
Winnie-JOB-Neil
Bottom two lines should play fairly even minutes, more like 3a and 3b, at least until one or the other gets going and out-produces the other. Klink has shown he's a reliable fill in, but the other guys are simply more productive and better over-all hockey players.

1 - Greening-Spezza-Alfredsson ( More Scoring power on top line )
2 - Foligno-Turris-Michalek (this line came huge in the playoff clinching NYI game)
3 - Winchester-J'OB-Neil
4 - Klinkhammer-Smith-Condra ( Klinkhammer/Condra have speed and breakaway skills, smith is able to keep up and can obviously contribute )
Can switch lines 3 - 4
Kuba-Karlsson
Gonchar-Cowen
Phillips- Gilroy ( Gilroy has proved that he can score, Phillips proved he can hold the defensive fort )
I don't disagree, the winchester type player is what's needed for the playoffs. I just see him as a weak point, don't totally trust him. We'll so though, hopefully he can come through.
Looks like the consensus is putting the hammer in though. I think that says a lot about his dedication and play thus far
Weird, Winchester is the one of the players you can trust the most, one of our best defensive forwards

Goalies
Anderson
Bishop/Lehner
that's what i would do.
gotta remember that playoff alfie is a different animal. And that animal should be on the top line. fol-tur-mich kicked ass when they were together so it's not like it's upsetting any chemistry. and spezza-alfie can be magical. more balanced lines too imo.

I like the look of that. I don't think we will see that in game 1 but, I wouldn't be shocked if the Stash goes to that if we need a change up.
