Considering that if this team didn't have TM running it for so long they would have won the Pacific in a landslide, this is a nice little second round type matchup.
Yes they will. They won't be on center Ice or GameCenter however since NBC Sports Network is airing all the games nationally. The actual channels (FSW, PT or 13) haven't been decided yet.
The only way you will NOT see FSN in round 1 is if NBC (the actual network, not any of their cable channels) pick up game 5, 6 or 7, or if you live outside the LA market area as FSN will be blacked out everywhere else.
After round 1, no FSN. No Bob and Jim. Round 1 only.
Thank God. But I just looked at all the local teams' schedules and the schedule conflicts on Wednesday are overwhelming. The Lakers are on KCAL on that night so they're good to go.
The Angels are scheduled to be on FSW at 7. Dodgers on PT at 7. The Clippers are scheduled to play in Oklahoma City at 5 and there's still no TV coverage listed on their website. I'm guessing that they will move the Angels game to KCOP. Clipper game to FSW, which will end at around 7:30, just in time for the Kings game.

If he gets it, I have no doubt whatsoever he will have deserved it. He is playing better lately but still not good enough. Even with his improvement he is still playing worse hockey than any other forward on the team.
There are always third parties who want to get their licks in on the main board. Civil discussion about this series is most easily found on the Canucks board or ours. IMO.
I haven't looked at what the Canucks are saying on their own boards and I don't really care for the main board but thanks for the info.
What is the latest news on carter? If he is healthy then you guys have a great chance. Also any news on the Canucks injuries? Is daniel going to be able to play?

Carter is gonna play game one unless he suffers a setback.
Hey guys, I come in peace from the Bruins board. Just want to wish you guys the best of luck in the playoffs. I hope your guys pummel them into the boards every chance they get. Here's also hoping that Van doesn't get too many opportunities to dive and whine.
Anyway, all the best in the playoffs especially against those stinkin' Knuckleheads!

That is some stone cold ********. If the Kings EVER make it to the finals Bob should be allowed to call it. I don't care if he's 175 at the time, he's earned it.

Canucks news is going to be very vague. Vigneault has a reputation of over using the term "day-to-day" to the point of complete frustration. Or atleast at this point in the year anyway. At this point we aren't sure if Ballard, Kassian and Daniel will be in for game 1 or if none of the 3 will be. From a fans perspective, I am expecting Daniel, and Kassian in for game 1, and Ballard for game 3. That might be a hopeful conscious speeking although so don't read to far into it. The only real piece of evidence we have gathered that leads to the belief that Daniel will be in for game one is that Lapierre was removed from the top line that consisted of Hank, Burrows, and Max for our last game against EDM. This led us to think we are putting Lapierre back on the fourth and back into his regular setting before the playoffs. Lapierre at this time was also our most hot player at the time which makes "us" believe that they are trying to set Henrik and Burrows back up to when Daniel was here.
Van: 5 (2 of those teams have 100+ pts.)
LA: 12 (9 of those teams have 100+ pts.)
The Kings have played better even though they faced much better competition.
Vancouver has a great team, they are experienced, and they know how to play playoff hockey. That said, they haven't played as well as the Kings have. This series is going to be a lot closer than people realize.
We've seen two Kings teams since the trade deadline. One of them, I honestly can't see any team beating in a 7 game series. The other looks passive and uninspired at times, and doesn't take the play to the opponents.
IMO, for the Kings, this series is going to come down to how hungry the team is and if Sutter can get them to bring their mental play up to that high level. If they do, they will beat the Canucks. If they don't, it will be a relatively quick exit.

I agree, watching a Kings game just isn't the same without Bob calling it, he just makes the game have that special feeling behind it, especially when he throws in his little bits of humor from time to time .
But really, he should be one of the first to hold the cup whenever the day comes that we win it.

To the top part.. Canucks were playing desperate teams in Dallas and Colorado at these times. A lot.
To no one's surprise, the Kings actually had a better record against playoff teams than against non-playoff teams. The Kings went 22-15-6 against playoff teams (a .581 point percentage and .512 win percentage) and 16-12-6 against non playoff teams (a .559 point percentage and a .471 win percentage).
In comparison, the Canucks were marginally better against playoff teams and much better against non-playoff teams. The Canucks went 20-11-6 against playoff teams (a .622 points percentage and a .541 win percentage) and 31-11-3 against non playoff teams (a .722 point percentage and .689 win percentage).

I sent a note to someone at the Kings in the know about these things. I'll let you know if I hear anything back about plans for Bob and if the Kings were to advance.
Sorry if you guys have discussed this already, but these playoff threads move quickly!
What kind of faith has Sutter had in Bernier this season? I've noticed a lot of you expressing concern about Quick's mental toughness around this time of year, would you be comfortable with Bernier should Quick stuggle?
As a Canuck fan I figured goaltending might be where you have the advantage, I'm surprised by a lot of these posts regarding the kid.

Sure, there are no easy games. But given the choices of playing Dallas or Colorado down the stretch vs. San Jose 2X (also fighting for playoffs) and NSH/DET twice each (desperate for huge home ice advantage), I'll take the first every time. Toss in Boston and St.L, and that's just brutal.
Here is something else to chew on. Both teams fare very similarly against tougher competition.
