Gomez, Darche, Campoli, Staubitz from your list. Moen might sign with a better team too.

Plus Emelin, maybe Weber, though I think they will keep him and potentially send him in the minors through waivers. No choice for now to give Bourque another chance.

And we won't be able to get rid of Kaberle.

Gomez and Campoli.

I think that Darche will be brought back even if I don't think he should.

I hope that we can deal Weber but I don't think he'll fetch a big enough return.

Kaberle, well, nobody will want so we're stuck with him.

The rest I hope are brought back.

Campoli, Weber and Diaz for sure have to go. Our soft defense killed this team. Kaberle was a mistake trade but his contract does not allow him to be buried or traded (**** you Gauthier) so he gets a chance to play next year with a more physical DMan.

Gomez and Bourque need to go one way or the other. Darche is not significant enough to worry about one way or the other so he is gone.

Other than that, keep everyone else.

Campoli 100% & I think Gomez is 95% gone. With the possibility of Amnesty. We could actually send Gomez to the minors or arrange something ECHL in Alaska or Europe for him & use that Amnesty on Kaberle.

I also think Weber will be traded, you just can't keep both Diaz & Weber.

Anyone who agrees with this comment obviously knows nothing about the HABS or the NHL in general. Gomez is finished in Montreal. Anyone who thinks he is coming back is clearly dim witted

He won't be back.. That era ended with the departure of PG & BG. Amnesty or not.

Many non-NHL teams would actually like to have a guy like Gomez in their lineup, and some of these places are actually more exciting than Hamilton, so Mr. Gomez might actually listen to such proposal.

So you guys think that he'd rather bolt to Europe than make $7 million in Montreal?
I can't see him getting booted down to Hamilton.

Hummm... he'd actually make 7 millions in Europe.
I mean, a contract is a contract.

Oh, in the sense that he'd get loaned or something.

But i mean, he would still have to be sent down for that to happen, and I don't think that would happen.

Well, he would technically be sent down...
With a "deal" that he'll play out the season in Lugano or something.

If a player is claimed on waivers don't the two teams split the contract?

- Weber 'cause it's time to give him a chance somewhere else à la Ben Maxwell.

- Campoli 'cause....it's Campoli.

- And Gomez 'cause the GM will want to make a statement.

- Blunden 'cause he doesn't bring enough and we want to be better

- Nokelainen, 'cause that job as the 4th line centerman is just a 1-year experiment....

Other guys could and will go, but those 5 are the most obvious. You are stuck with Kaberle. We'll keep Moen and Darche who will fill the 13th forward spot. Staubitz might have sold well his services. Bourque is not tradeable. And you'll want to give Diaz another year.

I like Blunden/White/Staubitz as a fourth line.

Gomez and Campoli are the only 2 that should be a sure thing not to be back...

if our new GM is any good, we won't see Kaberle back, and maybe even Bourque.

Could happen, but as above poster said, any competent GM candidate would say: No Gomez if I sign on.

It would take balls with Molson, but it should be done.

In fact, if we get a new GM and Gomer stays, that tells you lots about the new GM, and not in a good way.

I'll remind the lot of you on this in October.

What do you think will be Whites future with the Habs? What sort of contract offer (if any) do you predict? one way, two way?

Anyway, Gomez will be gone with new management... possibly during an amnesty buyout period. Campoli, Noke, Blunden aren't really needed and are probably gone.

Maybes: Darche should probably go since younger players can take his role, too, but you never know for league minimum he is not horrible. I actually think Moen might be gone too as pricing himself out of Montreal's range although he's the kind of bottom liner that the team needs. Weber might just have to go, too, since he can't crack the top-six.
