and another thing

I think both sens and rangers fans agree that Boston needs a humiliating defeat in the playoffs.

hopefully one of our clubs will accomplish that this year

Oh I'm so happy to see playoff hockey!!! So happy!

I am unsure on how it will go. Sens typically play well against Rangers, so I think the series will be fun, but Rangers will up their game. Realistically I think Rangers in 6 but in my heart I say Sens in 7. Either way, don't think it will be easy either way!

guys like Foligno, Greening and Zach Smith scare me more than Spezza and Karlsson do, because I expect Jason and Erik to be there for Ottawa.

Ottawa fans need to know (if they didn't already) that the NY powerplay seems to have found its salt over the past week or two

Ottawa's 20th ranked PK may be the breaking point, especially if Phillips/Kuba don't clear the crease. Boyle and Rupp are going to be monsters in the paint, and you know Callahan will be there. The Rangers capt had 13 PPG.

As far as toughness goes, Carkner is clearly a monster. Neil's style doesn't appeal to me as much but then again were he wearing Blue most rangers fans would probably love him.

I said it before and I will say it again

Every time Karlsson touches the puck, NY is going to hammer him. Bank on it.
good luck with that

Ranger fans need to know since the end of October the sens PK has been operating at 83.8% good enough for 10th.

People said they'd hammer Karlsson last time in the playoffs too and he walked out with a better point per game average than he had all season... I'm not worried in the least about his production.

Anyway, I voted Rangers in 7. All it takes for Ottawa to consecutively lose all of the remaining games is an injury to any of 3 key players. I feel like the same can't be said of NY, giving them the edge.

Yeah that and Karlsson rarely puts himself in those positions. His smarts and speed allow him to avoid big hits.

And the fact that obviously no one has tried this all season. I mean who would think to play a physical game against a small skilled player. This is brand new strategy right here.

And if I need a sarcasm face here I am going to scream.

Does this rule also apply to [other offensive names] etc. etc.? I don't really care, but [mod edit] isn't really all that insulting, and you'll want to be consistent.

If you're offended by those terms then yes, they should also be banned. We've expressed on numerous occasions that we're offended by the term and would like to not be called that. I think all team's fans should be afforded the same right.

I'm not taking the Sens lightly, but I also have watched 98% of all Ranger games since 1989, and this team is good....really good.

Should be a great series.. Hopefully we take care of business.

Torts will have this team ready to go to work...

Yes, it applies to all names for other teams deemed offensive. Changing up a team name to demean or insult that team or its fanbase is not acceptable.

This also applied to players as well, including switching around letters with numbers.

Well your team has a much better chance than the Senators since if I recall correctly, Lundqvist is to the Bruins what Thomas is to the Senators.

Even if Carkner isn't dressed Sens can still have Rangers beat in the toughness department.

Zack Smith nearly KO'd Rangers tough guy Prusk with an upper cut last time in Ottawa.

Yeah Prust almost fell back in that fight. Smith seems like he's a prototypical Ranger-type player. Big fan of him.

lol well you know Sens and NYR have a histroy as in last year when Carkner ended the late Boogard's season/career. Fair to say you have no one in your line-up that can stand up to him IMO so no point there. In other news

^ what's the point of this. Most teams have videos like this accumulated over a season. Who cares if they think they are tougher. If they don't know much about the sens they will learn a lot in the nex few weeks.

The point, I believe, is that a team going all-out all season -- "playing playoff hockey" -- may get left behind in the real playoffs when its opponent kicks it into overdrive.
