Thank you for understanding my point. Passion is great, but understanding it's just a game, and respecting your opponent is a must in my book. I think that's where this has rubbed me wrong the most. When the game is over, even the players get along. Taking a dump on the other teams and their players outside of the 60 minutes of play is garbage.

This is the NHL, not international hockey, and even if it was, disrespecting another's achievement is just classless anyways. I also remember some not so flattering stuff happening after the clock had run out.

The whole idea of spending a bundle on a ticket is to have fun, and if that's what floats your boat, then do it. "boo" is great, but throwing bananas on the ice and that crap is horrible(not trying to imply Jets fans do that either).

LOL I love how people like you get butt-hurt over this. <3 the Jets and the other people in Winnipeg who make that building the loudest in the league.

Anyone that thinks Jets fans don't respect the game and it's best players is out to lunch.

The MTS Centre crowd boos players every game and I have to be honest when I say I LOVE seeing opposing fans get their knickers in a twist about it.

The last game sums it up however. Stamkos was booed when he touched the puck, but when he scored #60 everyone in the arena stood and applauded the accomplishment..

Jets fans chanted "Crosby's Better" at Ovechkin during a game. Take a wild guess what's going to happen when Sidney skates out for the first time in Winnipeg...

I wonder what the average blood alcohol level is in the arena.

Approaching 100% by the end of the 3rd period typically.

The "correct" way to do it is with both hands and wiggle your fingers when your hands are extended. You can see some people are doing it correctly in the video. Mickey Moose does this to get the crowd chanting at goalies. 100% of the time he's the one starting it.

I'm not a huge fan of random goalie hexing, but doing it after bad goals is always fair game IMO.

This has nothing to do with the Atlanta Braves. It's a sieve motion, and they do it all the time in college hockey.

Too bad they didn't get in playoffs. I hope the magic lives on for another season. Need more teams fans doing this.

That legit made me say "wow". Maybe I'm easily impressed but come on that was pretty awesome.

Eh, I grew up doing this exact same thing to Eddy Belfour.

I like the enthusiasm, but give em ten more years in Winnipeg and fans wont care this much about a regular season game.

Most Canadian arena's sound the exact same during the playoffs.

Why doesn't captain crunch in your avatar not have a C on his jersey?

Want to know what I like even more? When 80% of their chants backfire and then they lose.

May I see the proof behind the 80% claim.

I just flew back into Calgary after watching that game in Winnipeg.

It was simply ridiculous how loud the arena was for a nothing game. Best game experience I have had including playoffs.

The standing ovation for Stamkos was impressive. Initially we in the MTS booed the goal, but after 5 or 10 secs the ovation started for at least a minute. We were unhappy that he'd scored, but had to recognize the accomplishment.

As far as the Roloson hex is concerned, I don't think anyone associated it with anything to do with Atlanta. While Winnipeg is more of a baseball town than most Canadian cities, a relatively small percentage of fans would have even thought of that relationship. This was all about Roloson, and hexing him after he gave up the 2nd Slater goal.

After Purcell knotted the OT winner, the fans also started a "Thank You True North" chant.

To me, it's the equivalent of the drunk girl at the bar who bounces all around flirting with everyone, basically saying, "look at me".
We're not doing stuff so you'll look at us, so people will start threads about it or even talk about it, we're doing it to have fun and support our team. Not sure what the problem is?

It's true, we lost 80% of our games this year.
