I usually shave the day of the first playoff game and then not again until they're out. Mine grows so fast its fully grown by the end of the first series, so I try to keep it clean until the start instead of starting on the last day of the regular season.

Just shaved my face today. Hopefully I have a nasty, straggly beard when it's all said and done.

Not shaving until they are out.

My beard is three colors for some reason, so I won't be. It looks beyond stupid.

When this topic first came up I jumped on the trend and stopped shaving. Was dealing with the patches problem but was riding it out. Then my friend's dad died and I shaved for the services. Now we're headed back to beast mode... Although I really could've used that head start. I'm cursed with a thin beard... actually, it's only a curse during the playoffs. I quite enjoy not having to shave too often regularly...

Entertaining clients at my lovely job this week but since last year I did the clean shaven thing and it didn't work and in 09 the beard didn't work, I'll probably grow a stache/soul patch once these meetings are over (in time for game 1).

I shaved my beard right after the Washington game. Hopefully I don't shave again until June.

I normally shave every two weeks.

Starting Thursday, I will be shaving every day until we're done.

If we win the Cup, I will not shave until the start of training camp. Offseason beard!

I want everyone on this board to go take a look at pictures/vids of the 1994 team when they are presented with the Cup. Notice one thing that is missing from most of the players faces.

Historically, aren't playoffs beards a thing started by the Islanders in the 70's/80's? I always thought the Oilers didn't want to follow that "tradition" and when Messier came over here he brought that with him...
