Favourite Monty Python Moments

I'm a bit surprised there isn't a thread similar to the Simpsons one with the amount of material MP has put out (there does seem to have been one, but it was locked 6 years ago).

Post your favourite videos/quotes/pictures/whatever here.

"Look! It's that old man from scene 24!"

"Who is it, darling?"
"It's a Mr. Death or something, he's come about the "reaping"? I don't think we need any at the moment."

"Oh, it's blessed are the meek! Oh, I'm glad they're getting something, they have a hell of a time."

I think it was "Blessed are the cheesemakers".
Ah, what's so special about the cheesemakers?
Well, obviously it's not meant to be taken literally--it refers to any manufacturers of dairy products.

Best legitimate sketch ending by MP ever. Not that their irreverent endings aren't funny too.

I was gonna post this. Maybe the best 4 minutes of comedy I've ever seen, and you're right, what a killer punchline. Even though the whole thing is so outrageous it does capture the absurdity of a job interview too. Just brilliant.

"Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelled of elderberries!"

"It's only a flesh wound!" and "Come back here! I'll...bite your kneecaps off!"

"In fact, today I think I'll have a French tickler, for I am a Protestant!"
"I'm afraid I've sold you all for scientific experiments"

"I wish I was a girlie, just like my dear Papa"

"The larch...the larch...the larch"

and, of course...

Yep, absolutely brilliant. "...and Marx is claiming it was offside" might be my favourite MP line ever.

Everyone is all about posting videos, eh? Some of their best stuff is in their books IMO. They're an absolute ***** to find on the internet for some reason though.

Here's the original version from "How To Irritate People" with Tim Brooke-Taylor of the Goodies in the Graham Chapman role

One of my favs too.

My favorite line in the whole thing is when after the goal is scored the announcer goes through the list of philosophical reason the Germans are objecting to the goal. Yet when it comes to Karl Marx his claim is that it was offsides. I don't know if it was an intended dig on Marx or just great juxtaposition writing (probably both). These guys were all very intelligent, classically educated, and probably had opinions about such things.
