I think Spits will have to trade up as high as #6 - How is Kingston with luring/paying for imports? But the player and agent can exert some control over where the player lands. As long as they're seen as completely willing to stay in Russia - but if Russian players want to play in the NHL they need to play in the CHL to show commitment away from KHL.
Spits could offer Pavelka (Windsor's starting goalie this past year) and the #15 overall Import as part of a package to move up.
Who says it is only OHL teams that want him? He may not be there at 6.... But yes, if windsor got to 6 they would probably land him with some other massage work

But of course
Tolchinsky is on the record saying how much he liked Windsor and would like the play for the Spits. We all know there's 10x more politics and draft manipulation in the Import draft than the OHL draft so anything is possible. I know Tolchinsky is the target but Spits are interested in all the available Russian forwards.
If I'm Erie, I use my #1 overall pick to select Serebryakov. The kid was unreal at the U17.

Any clue if he would report to play? I know we are in bad need of a starting goalie and everything i have heard about this kid is hes a stud.
I think no matter what we take a goalie with our 1st pick.Just a matter of who will report i guess.

Can anyone advise the draft order for upcoming draft? As it stands today as am sure it will change between now and then.
1- Sherbrooke has the first overall pick (Worst team in the league hosting the Memorial Cup pick first, but we have an expansion team coming next season (Sherbrooke). We have the worst team last year's draft pick too )
2- Prince Albert (barring some trade that I don't know about)
3- Erie
4- Hull (Traded to us from PEI )
5- Prince George (?)
6- Kingston
7- Cape Breton (barring some trade that I've forgotten about)
8- Seattle (?)
9- Peterborough
And then it keeps going QMJHL, WHL, OHL after that.
they wont come over. All plays MHL whole season. Maybe Larionov will want to ruin Tolchinski, we will see what happens.
Does not play MHL this season, but next one will play. I see no reason to come over
No one thought either Yakupov or Grigorenko would come to the CHL, which is why I simply said the players that should be highly coveted if they decide to cross the pond. It wouldn't surprise me to see a few of them come over, especially if the Russians go 1 and 2 this year.
Or Loktionov...or Khokhlachev. The list goes on. Truth is, is that if they have serious intentions on playing in the NHL, coming to North America and playing in the CHL is a way to show they don't want to play in a second rate league.
