So this Gotham design isn't getting a lot of love over on the SCPO board.
Anybody have any better ideas or should we just press on with this one? I think it would be fun to just MSPaint some avatars and use those after some of the remarks about this design being "terribad". I think it's mostly a reaction to the initial Kane avatar which admittedly was thrown together pretty quickly.
Thoughts?
Since when did we start caring about opinions of geniuses on the main board?
I'm having a lot of fun with this theme and as far as I'm concerned, that's all that matters.
As long as we have a general consensus on our board that the avatars are good, that's all that matters to me. The main board has never been an intelligent source of discussion to begin with.
The Dark Knight is one of my most favorite movies of all time, let alone of Batman movies in general. Here's a few I got with a little help from IMDB...
Bollig: "Come on, I want you to do it.... HIT ME!"-- Joker (Batman on motorcycle)
"Obviously we don't want you doing anything with your hands but holding on for dear life!"
Keith: "I'm gonna make this Sedin disappear" (picture of flying elbow) "Tada! He's gone" (pencil part)
"Are you the real Duncan Keith? Then why do you dress like him?!"--When Joker captures Batman imposter
Toews: "Never start with the head... the victim gets all, fuzzy"
"Why so Serious? Let's put a smile on that face"--Picture of Toews receiving Stanley Cup?
Kane: "You either die a hero, or (play?) long enough to see yourself become the villain" (insert lame ass picture of Kane with that icicle from Olympics)
Seabrook: "Introduce a little anarchy..."--picture of Seabrook hitting someone?
some other ideas that popped into my head, but haven't quite put it all together:
-That part between Rachel and Dent when Dent says "I don't, I make my own luck" would be pretty fitting for Shaw
-Joker tells the citizens of Gotham to leave the city if they don't want to play by his own rules... was thinking something about Bolland there. Maybe something like "This cup is mine, anyone who is left plays by my rules"... don't remember the exact wording and it sounds cheesy, but I dig it.
-Something around Quenneville and that scene where Dent tells Gordon to lie to his son, like he lied. Maybe about upper-body injuries and being day to day?
-Either Hossa/Kane/Sharp/Toews... someone who is one of our big scorers saying "Okay, Rack 'em up, Rack 'em up"--Scene with Joker taking down helicopters

The fact that people on the main board don't like them has actually made me like them even more.
Also, apparently some Van people think we're using these just to mock their avatars...which is an additional incentive to stay with them.
I like them and its too late to change them. The fact so many people on the mainboard like pittsburgh's HORRIBLE SOPO thing that isn't evne remotely funny tells us all we need to know about them.

It's amazing how vividly I can picture these scenes as I read them. I really like the Pencil trick, "never start with the head", and "I make my own luck" ones.
