If you get DirecTV, ALL games will be in HD. Including games on MSG 2. On cable it's hit or miss as generally they have very very few games available in HD.
They also played the documentary "The Boys On The Bus" I think it's called about the Oilers going for their third Cup. Pretty good stuff but hokey. I guess it sums up the times pretty well.
I live an northern nj and haven't had cable in a few year. I'm recent come back to hockey, and i was wondering if there was any legal way to watch rangers games on the internet?
Just wondering if people on Verizon realized this but MSG 2 HD has been added to their line-up of HD channels. I didn't get to watch the game last night and did not read the GDT, so I'd figure posting here to let people know no more issues having the Rangers bumped from MSG to MSG 2 and not having an HD feed.

not legally. if you bought center ice online the ranger games would be blacked out because youre in the television market.

Strange situation, though. It's not on the channel lineup, and I couldn't type the channel number in. I had to go to either 578 or580, then hit the channel up or channel down button in order to get it.
Is there any way to get FIOS internet without having to use their router? I'm a control freak so I like to tweak and use my own router with custom firmware for my home network. I heard that Verizon gives you a FIOS modem with built in wireless router.

Verizon gives us an actiontec router. How would I connect my linksys e3000 router to it?
TSTN (NHLTorrents) is open signups today... you can download any NHL game (and other sports) in HD... Rangers pre/post games, MSG Network shows, etc...

Watching it as I type this. They only lack MSG+2HD, which usually doesn't carry games unless the all three teams are playing. They'll eventually get it though. It didn't have MSG2HD initially, but with this TWC situation, my guess is MSG+2HD will be on Fios sooner rather than later.
MSG showing a LOT of Rangers content now, they just had a MSG Countdown on the best moments of the 2010-2011 season, enjoyed watching that, and they've got more Rangers stuff on all day.

We had their router and it broke (power problem) so I went out and got an Apple AirPort router and it works fine. Assume you could do the same with a PC.
Was just flipping through my channel guide looking for a channel. Noticed, I now have MSG2HD and MSG+2HD listed. I have TWC-NYC, channels 195 and 196, just above those "Sports Extra" channels they used. Hopefully I still have it come the season.
