has there been any correlation between staying that final year in college vs. leaving early and success in the NHL?
im sure thats a super arbitrary thing, but didnt know if there was any sentiment from fans in that regard.
With absolutely no data to back this up my guess is there is very little difference for most players between going pro after their junior or senior seasons...you'd maybe see differences between freshman/sophomore and sophomore/junior years just from a physical development perspective.

Yeah, I pretty much agree with this. I do think there's probably a decent sized gap in development between leaving after freshman year in compairson to after the Junior or Senior year though, but not a lot of players leave college and go pro after their freshman season - some do go to the CHL though.
Ice Dogs win a nail-biter tonight in the 1st OT, 2-1 the final. Freddie ended up with 1 a, Even, 0 PIM's.(Don't know why I post the PIM's he never usually takes a penalty ) I got some interesting shots of him in action tonight and I'm also wondering if he's gonna grow a playoff beard, he had an awesome one last year. So after my little rant his total stats overall are 1 g, 7a, +2, 0 PIM's in 7 games in the playoffs.
Ice Dogs lead the series against the Battalion 1-0. Game 2 is Sunday @ 2 PM.

Reason: Added Next Game Time
I agree but he's been trying. He's been in a goal scoring drought for the last 5 games, which is uncharacteristic of him. He's been shooting just the goalie's either been stoning him or the shots are being blocked(there was a couple of them tonight)...I'm not worried he'll come out of his goalless funk soon enough. Other than that he's been playing decent the majority of the time.
Boston College, and Sharks prospect D Isaac MacLeod won the NCAA championship tonight defeating Ferris State 4-1.
I didn't see a box score posted yet to know what (If any) impact MacLeod had.

So today Freddie had a couple good scoring chances but couldn't capitalize on them so he continues to be snake-bitten in 6 games. No points or any relative stats today except for the couple SOG. His stats are 1 g, 7a, +2, 0 PIM's in 8 games. Ice Dogs won 3-1 and go up 2-0 in the series against the Battalion.
Next game is Tuesday at 7 pm and more than likely I'm going to that one. I hate watching my 2 favourite teams play a trapping-style team. Makes for a non-exciting game.
MacLeod took a huge step this year with the Eagles. He may not have contributed much on the offensive side of the game, but he was solid as ever on the defensive side this year.
He really took the opportunity to play, and ran. When Patrick Wey went down with a tendon injury early in the year, the Eagles called on MacLeod to take his minutes and the team didn't miss a beat.
MacLeod was not paired with a defensive rock to carry him like Tommy Cross or Brian Dumoulin. Coach York trusted MacLeod enough to play him in all situations. He never got PP time, but that is because BC has so much talent up front that there are 4 and sometimes 5 forwards on their PP units.
We will learn a lot more about MacLeod next year when Dumolin and Cross leave for the pros. MacLeod will be the one BC turns to for defensive stability without those guys next year. From what I saw this year, I have no worries that he can step in and do that.

Hope you made it today - Freddie's having himself a game!!
Freddie broke out of his goalless slump with a hat-trick plus 2 assists tonight in a 6-3 win over the Battalion. Hard work sure pays off. He deserved all that tonight, great effort and he played extremely well defensively; especially when he was killing penalties(one goal SH). So glad I was able to get a ticket to tonight's game. That said he now has 4g, 9a, +4, 0 PIM's in 9 playoff games.
Ice Dog's are up 3-0 in the series and go for the Sweep in Brampton Thursday @ 7 pm. I have a video I took from the end of the game and the announcement of Freddie being the 1st Star and interview. It's still taking it's sweet *** time uploading so I'll add it soon.
Freddie picked up 1 assist and was a +2 tonight, 0 PIM's in the Ice Dogs 3-1 win and the 4 game sweep. He has 4g, 10a, +6, 0 PIM's in 10 playoff games. This will be the last game for a week more than likely as the other series are 2-2 and Barrie/Ottawa might go 2-2 tonight. Was a great night for hockey going back and forth between the Sharks and Dogs.
Sounds like Nieto will be returning to BU for his junior year as he's tweeting about changing his BU jersey number. Seems like a strange move but if they can straighten out the off ice stuff it should be good for his development.
