No, you mean Joey Mac.

Unless you want Conklin to leave for the airport 7 hours after the game starts, I don't think that's possible.

that's a great point. just heard eddie o on the radio today and he would disagree with you though lol. i don't think the hawks should lose on purpose, but i don't see how playing nashville would be better than playing any of the pacific teams

I am absolutely certain the Preds "tanked" the final game of 07-08(against the hawks, who were already eliminated) in order to avoid a third straight series with San Jose.

Now, I believe this was done as much as to ensure selling out our home playoff games as it was to get a more favorable opponent since by losing we got Detroit(who went on to win the Cup after we chased Hasek out of the net)...

but at the time Dan Ellis was our starting goalie, and that game he didn't even dress... instead we played Chris Mason for half of the game and then we put in some scrub from Milwaukee who had been called up... some guy named Rinne.... and we lost a truly boring game 3-1

Its fear.

Tanking in game #82=Hawks coaching, players, Front Office doesn't believe they are capabable of beating Nashville in a 7 game series i.e. they are AFRAID of them.

Nashville has one more game against Colorado that they have to win. If they dont win, and Detroit beats Chicago, Nashville has to potentially play Detroit on the road 4 times instead of 3.

The Hawks havn't been consistent enough where they can just take off the last game of the year and turn it on for the playoffs. Tanking so you get to play LA, SJ, or PHX is not only incredibly stupid, its incredibly shameful.

Well, Q chose option 2, good on him. Just glad Detroit tied it.

You do love that phrase, now, doncha?

But the thought of purposely tanking a game when you're contending is...

It's done and over with now, so, all that's left is to discuss if coldsteel has psychic powers.
