Their bullpen is one of their strong points, but the closer, Santos, really brings all that down.

Two things I said before the start of the season:

1) Sergio Santos is not the answer to the closer role
2) Brett Cecil will be gone sooner than later

One has already happened, and the other is HAPPENING. I know pitching pretty well, and neither of them have what it takes to be either a #3 Starter or solid closer. People expect closers to have 95+ MPH fastballs to be a closer.

Who cares? I'd take the control of a pitcher over speed any day of the week.

The legend, Mariano Rivera, may be done.

Obviously it's early, but he tore his ACL and a lot of those injuries are 6+ months of recovery.

I can't see him coming back next year.

I had the privilege of watching him pitch live at Yankee Stadium in it's first year. Amazing player. Hope he comes back.

Eventful end to the Jays - Rays game.

Lawrie gets called out on 2 straight questionable strikes. He throws his helmet on the ground and hits the umpire, tossed from the game. Farrell then gets kicked out and we eventually lose the game.

Then the umpire is leaving the game and someone throws a beer at him.

Embarrassed to be a jays fan tonight. Even it was a bad call.
