I just want to remind all of you that if Toronto ends up picking before the Habs and then they pick the exact player we want, well just how anger will you be that the Habs did NOT dump that last game.
What if it's found out that Burke cut a deal with Molson. That the Habs win that last game allowing Toronto to move up to the bottom 5 for a much better pick, then Burke stabs Molson in the back and steals our player right from under Molson's nose.
The only player that TO could pick ahead of us is Yaks, because to pick ahead of us they have to win the lottery.
But yes, they would cause us to go from 3-4 if they won it, and not only get yaks, but possibly cause us to miss Grigs if that's who we want. Double insult.
Our fault for getting all those loser points the last 2 weeks.
That simulator was surely not made the right way the % are either or there are mistakes in the fonctions.
Reminds me of a story told to me by a professor.
A teacher asks his high school class to randomly write out the numbers 1 through 5 50 times on a sheet of paper. He then mixes in one sequence of numbers that was produced by a random number generator. The majority of the time he's able to pick out the one produced by the computer simply by picking the sheet that has the longest uninterrupted sequence of the same digit.
Here's the order of the team that I want them to win:
1. Habs. Obvious 2. Winnipeg: Reasons: Push Leafs 1 spot down. Canadian team. Habs unaffected. 3. Calgary. Reasons: Canadian team. Habs unaffected. Western division. 4. Colombus. Reasons: Habs unaffected. Western division. Last team deserves the best player. 5. Colorado. Reasons: Habs unaffected. Western division. Old Nordiques. 6. Dallas. Reasons: Habs unaffected. Western division. 7-9. Buffalo, Tampa Bay, Carolina. Reason: Habs unaffected. 10. Edmonton. Reasons: Canadian team. Western division. Three first picks in a row ! Habs unaffected, but if they pick first, then they may pick Yakupov, instead of a defenseman. So the chance that Habs pick a good forward diminishes. 11-12: Anaheim, Minnesota. Reasons: Western division, Habs picks #4. 13. NYI. Reason: Habs pick #4. 14. Toronto. Reason: Habs pick #4, enemy.
In brief, I hope that Habs, Winnipeg or Calgary win the lottery. I hope it's not NYI or Toronto winning it.
