As a habs fan, I'm at peace with drafting 3rd or 4th. Sam Pollock sold our soul to the devil to get the #1 overall pick that turned into Lafleur. I believe we may pay for this karma this time around...

...or perhaps we already did with Wickenheiser....

I'm fine with any of the possible 3 outcomes.

I agree here. If we're talking Grigorenko, it's acceptable to pass him up for Murray. I remember some Oil fans saying "you don't pass on Malkin for Barker" and it made my eyes roll every time. Grigorenko isn't near Malkin's level, and Murray has way more upside than Barker did.

Back to Nail, for one thing he's a can't miss talent. Regardless of holes in other areas, you can't pass him up if you have the opportunity to nab him. That, and in my honest opinion he's earned the title of consensus top talent. That alone means he should go first. If Edmonton really doesn't want him they should trade down to someone who does.

Agreed. It's not like our offense is that great anyways.

We can always move someone later if needed.

I would say RNH and Hall has higher ceilings then Ebs. RNH may be the best of the three.

And...tomorrow Yakupov will have to start looking for a place to stay in Edmonton

I might laugh if a team outside of the bottom 5 wins the lottery.

I am ok with Montreal not winning it as long as Galchenyuk is ours. As long as the habs representative says "We select, from the Sarnia Sting..." I will be happy.

Of course want the Leafs to win this. Been such a horrible 2012 that it'd be a nice way to make that frustration seem like it was worth it. Of course odds are good for Columbus and really if the Leafs don't win I'd rather they win and keep things as they are.

I hope Edmonton doesn't win. Yak is amazing but we don't really need him. He would just bump out Hemsky or Eberle out of our RW but we would still be weak in the #2 center spot and on D. We would have the most dynamic top 6 wingers in all of the league, though.

if toronto doesn't win it, i hope columbus retains it. they need something to cheer about after the crappy season they had and the fact that the face of the franchise wants out.

I want one of the Eastern Canadian teams to win it. Would be great for those massive markets and for hockey in general.

Yakupov to me looks more like a Hab where as I could see Grigorenko as a Leaf

I really hope the Isles win it, we have been so bad for so long. Even Snow/Wang won't be able to ruin Yakupov. I just can't help but think what a great duo Tavares-Yakupov would make.

The Rocke-- wait.

The Russian Rocke-- err.

The Pocket Ro-- um.

What would Nail's moniker be? It would almost seem like a natural fit for him to follow in the footsteps of his idol, Pavel Bure, and those of the legendary Maurice Richard. Especially if he becomes a Hab, it would seem easy to proclaim him the next Maurice Richard.

His name is Nail, though.

Would love the Oilers to win it...just so I could watch HF implode. But I'll say the win. Mainly because they popped up the most for me in one of those lottery sims. lol

Almost everything they have been through has been selfinflicted. Its not like your top prospect in College decides he doesnt want to sign or anything.

Montreal will win. Sucks to be a Jackets fan... I dont think Bettman feels bad enough for Columbus to rig it in our favor.

The Islanders have had the 5th pick 3 of the past 4 years so somebody is bound to jump over them this year and drop them to 5th

Just because it's the least statically likely, Calgary is going to win. There, now if they do win, I look like a genius.
