I personally want to start the rebuild as I think we can compete with the big guns in a few years.

Out: Pumps, Quine, Hietkamp, Seymour, Trojanovic, Morrison, Fitze, Campagna, Mathers

Thompson-Stefano-Racine 95-95-95
Hennigar-Pierog-Hatcher 95-94-94

Koekkoek-Boland 94-94
Murphy-Varga 95-95

wow! that's a huge re-build. not sure the fans would be happy with that. They need to make the playoffs next year to game some experience for 2014 playoff run

Agreed, it was obviously over exagerated. Theres no way Cornel and co will be given first line minutes as a rookie. And I didnt include the 94's' or 95's' we would have got for Quine, Puempel. I do think that all those players other then maybe Weis and Robinson will be petes one day.

Don't worry about it Bullsfan, even if he's not you more than made up for it in the 2nd and 3rd round. Believe me.

Believe you !?!?....I believed you when you said he was a second or third rounder when all the real experts like directors of player developmemt and scouts from various teams had him pegged as" best skater behind McDavid". Did you even see any games in the South Tier 2 or were you just brain washed by the gta?

I saw them play a few times this year and saw Petti play many times in Bantam when he played for the Marlies. Never questioned his skating, questioned his passing and team play. I didn't see enough of him this year but when I did It was against top teams and STA did not fair well nor did Petti. If he is as good as they think then Bellville did really well because I know their next two picks are very good.

That's a given. Three teams were taken by a possible charade.

You only sign 1 yr commitment at a time. it costs $50,000 if you break that after you have signed. There is a grace period betowwen signings you can leave with no penalty.

If you only knew how much the Steve Spott makes you'd be shocked. I doubt Kitchener picks up the tab, but i do believe he will make his way to the OHL. He should be suiting up in a Kitchener uniform in the upcoming years.

that is completely incorrect..

every USNDP player signs a binding 2 year agreement. they make that agreement and in return USA Hockey offers them world class training, billet familys, provide schooling, etc..

these players cannot be traded or cut. the only way any USNDP player can be cut is for disciplinary reasons..period.

there have been players that have only spent 1 season with the USNDP, and those were likely set up early or something was worked out like Emerson Etem that does not burn bridges. but it is very very rare when it happens.

USNDP players are not offered to play for the program on 1 year commitments ever. there is no grace period. they do not have to do anything to return for their second year. they are locked in which is a nice case for both sides that protects them all.

Blake Clarke (Brampton) and Aaron Haydon (Niagra) are the top 2 studs for us. both first round picks.

Clarke is the real deal and should be a wonderful player in the OHL.

The steal of the draft is Nick Schmaltz. He is the most skilled 96 American player I have seen. Windsor snagged him in the fourth round and if he does report, they just committed robbery!

Also in the fourth round is Sonny Milano who went to Plymouth. He has tons of skill and put up insane tier-1 numbers put he will be with the USNDP for 2 years, so Plymouth will have to wait to get him.

Alex Broadhurst went to London in the second round. Broadhurst is a local boy here in ChiTown...and the kid has some skills....surprise high pick like that as he is 3 years older then the rest, but London landed a very highend skilled player that will fit in right away for them.

Alex Tuch, Ryan Mantha, and Josh Wesley all went in the fifth round and all kids have some solid upside.

Darby Llewellyn went in the fourth round and I am a fan of his...Josh Jacobs went in the fourth as well...big mobile dman has decent upside as well.

Ryan Macinnis went in the third round and he is only going to the USNDP for 1 year apparently..but he should do well in the OHL.

The other more talented US kids that went a bit later in the draft for various reasons were Nick Magyar, Dylan Larkin, Marcel Godbout, Jack Billings, and Roy Radke...all very talented kids, most likely with the USNDP next year, but some of these kids should have gone higher..

What can you tell me about him? Any likelihood that he leaves to come to the O at any point?

he didnt get an invite for the USNDP team which was shocking....though I say he didnt get an invite, he simply could have gotten one, but knew he wasnt going to the program so he didnt attend like Schmaltz.

I dont know why he went so low to be honest...he is one of the more skilled players in this country, and doesnt seem to be a lock for college hockey...he could very well jump to the OHL next year, has the skill to be a decent player there as well..

I did some scouting on DG. Raw talent - huge "potential" upside. Almost all AAA players drafted were career AAA players, DG was still playing HL at 13 but all ONT LB in football. 1st year (2011/12) AAA top 15 in ETA points, top line Whitby - 5'11 ft 180 lb - Raw potential but played less then 20% of the hockey of all others drafted and mostly at lower calibre - project only - but with raw talent, pure athlete - could hit brick wall or flourish- based on playing curve potencial, but behind in some abilities. 2 years, if ever, before a chance.

Edwin Minney is another american prospect that was drafted. One of the best 96 goalie's right now. Here is a little report From the Icedogs on Minney who went 8th round to Niagara.

Minney is a 6'4", 195 lbs.
Minney is described as "a massive goalie that takes up a lot of the net when he plays. He is primarily a butterfly style goalie and when he is down on his knees making a save his shoulders are still at the crossbar. Edwin does a good job with his rebound control and if there is a rebound he does a good job tracking loose pucks so he can be in position to make the next save. For a goalie of his size he moves side to side very well and is able to get out of his crease to challenge the shooter. If Edwin continues to develop at this pace he could very easily be one of the top goalies in the OHL."

I can only comment on Marc Stevens. The kid plays physical, thats the one thing that stands out. I dont think there is any elite skills with this player and not alot of upside. Probably a 4th liner in the OHL.

Oliver Chabot
Games G A Points PM
Forward 34 15 37 52 20

Olivier was the second leading scorer on the Kapuskasing Flyers AAA Major Midget team as a 15 year old . They finished 3rd in the league behind Sault Saint Marie and Sudbury . Both Sudbury and the Soo played in the all Ontario championship with Sudbury winning the title . Tall lanky kid , needs to fill out but has good size potential . Competes hard and has a high end skill set . Played for the NOHA Wolves at the OHL Cup .

Quinn Diamond from Cambridge Hawks. Was leading the entire Alliance league in points (well ahead of McCann) until he broke his ankle. Skilled player with great scoring touch.
Balinson from the Hamilton Bulldogs, good solid player.

The Dubuque Fighting Saints (USHL) have tendered Seamus Malone today. I believe he was the 14th round selection of Plymouth.
