I actually think it's time for this franchise to stop living entirely in the past. For that reason (and I just love the color and design) the best jerseys I've seen mocked up anywhere are the one's Piqued made that I've quoted on at least two different occasions in this thread. I understand someone feeling the opposite though.
I also think it would be nice to have a colored jersey that really pops against the ice; a more bold color does that much better than black and/or dark green. The ones before this generation that were dark still had a bold look about them with the light coloring on the "star" coloration/design.
The North Stars green is a lot closer to the green on the early 90s uni than the image shows here. I don't think the images are representative at all. The kelly is a lot nicer green than the spinach regurgitation, or baby poop green if you will, we have seen in more recent years.

When the North Stars changed their jerseys from green to black in 1991, they kept the same green and thats the same green that they wore for the first year in Dallas. Then they darkened it in 1994-95.
What about these shades of green/gold?
I myself was a fan when the team was in Minnesota and I would love the retros I posted, but I can understand if some of you want to stay away from that. So going by that, I think overall these are the best. They kinda go retro, yet keep the Dallas look too.
The black sleeves and socks are my favorite. Wouldn't be opposed to the primarily green socks either, though, but the black ones flow better.
Yeah I just did some messing around with Microsoft Paint just to see them with less black, more black, etc. Im the same - though the opposite. I dig the less black more green, but Id love the other as well. Gotta go green helmets too so Im also thinking the more green may work better, but yeah either.
Green helmets may seem cool in concept, but I can almost guarantee they won't come out well.
Also, if you go with the sleeves and socks black, the helmet being black helps to give the top that sense of closure and matches it to the rest of the uniform.

I agree for the most part, that if you go black on the ends of the jersey and socks, then the black helmet would cap it off. Likewise if you went green on the ends of the jerseys instead - the green helmets would probably look better. I disagree though about the green helmets not turning out well, we wore em up until 91 when we switched to black unis and they looked awesome. Only the Wild wear green helmets right now so we'd be pretty unique still and also going more retro - without really going full out.

That looks better than just a small stripe of black, but overall I still like the one with black. Green, gold and black is just such a cool combo. I really miss the star design jerseys.
I'm still sticking with my top 2 picks. I feel there needs to be black in there along with the green like our old Stars one's. It looks so much better IMO.
Probably my favorite of the bunch here. I'd still go for a logo re-work that doesn't have print on it, but that's such a minor beef when you consider that jersey there fixes 95% of what went wrong in the RBK era.

I just feel like we went from black overkill to green overkill with these. It's too much. It looks better, but unless you've got a two-color color scheme, you can't have one color dominate the jersey that much.

Could be. Before long people could be wanting black in there. If we add the black now that takes care of that. So basically we're looking at the total black ends of the jersey, or the black striping along with the gold and white. Seems everyone prefers the dolid black ends of the jersey, which I'm totally cool with too - I think either looks wicked. I am wanting green helmets though.
Did these just now. All I did was make the black piping bolder and I added stars down the side of the pants.
