The playoffs are here and the boards will be a lot more active. With that in mind, its a good time for everyone to consider good posting habits when the stakes are so much higher. Here are some examples of what I mean:
- Don't go trolling other teams boards. In the middle of a game, a relatively innocent post could be construed as trolling if its poorly timed, so please be mindful of this.
- Bringing quoted posts from other team's forums is also considered trolling.
- Wishing or condoning injury is not allowed (its either trolling or offensive).
- Its a good idea to just step away from the keyboard when tensions are really high, because everyone has a point where they just don't care anymore and post stuff they otherwise would not. GIve yourself a break before it comes to that.
- Report posts that break the rules and dont repond to them. Partly so that the mods don't have to clean up a giant sized mss instead of a couple of posts, but also because we can easily miss troublesome posts if they are not reported.
- Bashing a fanbase is not allowed, even on your own team's forum. You can hate on the team (within reason) but you can't refer to all fans of a team as morons, idiots, etc. It will not fly.
- Go read the site rules again. They are here : http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/fa...aq_forum_rules
A much better and more detailed thread with the same message and a bit more explanation can be found here (on the hopefully unobtrusive Sharks forum) :
http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh....php?t=1160395. It includes stuff like "how to report a post" and other tidbits I left out.
