Ouch, thanks for the support THN

For what it is worth THN picked Ottawa to be dead last in the league during the regular season, they are the Rodney Dangerfield of Canadian teams.

Good luck boys, this series is going to be a barn burner!

Now it's on. Like DeLury said, I hope the Rangers hit him from one end of the rink to the other. **** off Karlsson.
I think the whole point of the playoffs is to want the other team to be sent home.

Except most players won't directly say it like that. He also said it about Lundqvist, not the Rangers. I don't take that kindly. You don't see Ranger players saying hopefully it's time for Alfie to go home.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did, though. It doesn't seem like such an uncommon, disrespectful thing to say before the beginning of a series, IMO. Wasn't he asked specifically about Lundqvist? If not, it seems random that he'd just single out one player like that. Maybe I'm missing the context of the comment here.

Karlsson is a bit cocky, starting to dislike him. That's the second quote where he's sounded cocky. Confidence is good but can be seen as annoying.

Karlsson trains with Lundqvist in the Summer and obviously has a lot of respect for him, being one of the great Frolunda products along with Alfredsson.

I don't see what the big deal is. Seems more like Karlsson poking fun at Henrik than anything else. I wouldn't be surprised if Lundqvist responded in a similar fashion.

I've noticed that it seems like the Sens/and their fans are really doing all of the talking. Maybe they're trying to hype up their team and get their fan base pump over what appears to be a friendly series but I'm happy the Rangers are focusing on their work.

I think we were doing most of the talking before the Washington series. Its an underdog thing.

Have no problem with Karlsson said. Make him eat his words when the game starts.

I have no problems with, it's just something I noticed that I guess I hadn't paid much attention to before.

I actually think we'll sweep. But this'll probably change when I wake up tomorrow.

I have no problem with what Karlsson said. I would love for one of our boys to say that about Spezza or whoever on the Sens. It's the playoffs. You want your opponents to be sent home. There's no love when you're in the playoffs.

Seriously having a good laugh at everyone taking Karlsson's words as some sort of slight against your goalie, or the Rangers. The way some of you guys are talking, you'd think he was hoping injury on him or something, rather than hoping that the Sens come out on top.

Ranger de FLA has it right. Seriously, this is hardly bulletin board material.

Don't mind the oversensitive folk, we're all just excited for the playoffs and itching for it to get started. Karlsson said nothing wrong. If the roles were reversed we'd all be lauding Lundqvist for trying to spark the team.

Well the nice thing about this series matchup is that i'll actually get to go to some of the games.

Rangers have to get back to what they did best early in the season; forecheck, impose your will on the opponent, and most importantly we need some big performances from Henrik. We won't go anywhere with a pedestrian .910 from him. .935-.940 and then we're talking.

Haven't read this thread much, but people actually have a problem with his words?

I don't. I like it. Nothing wrong with what he said. It's the playoffs.

See 'Subban, Pernell Karl'

He isn't half what Karlsson is talent wise, I just like saying "Pernell Karl'.

I am dead serious when I say that I want the Rangers to crowd that guy. He screws up when he is smothered or pushed hard. I really hope that the Rangers understand and exploit this. Chances of winning go up, up, up when Karlsson and Spezza don't get to do whatever they want. Make Karlsson look bad, Rangers.

Metric system is the tool of the Devil. My polar bear gets fourty rods to Scotiabank place and that's the way I likes it.

Btw, it should be noted, as a youth ,i was a huge Mike Richter fan. Was my first player man-crush.

With just six playoff games Anderson has little experience in the post-season, but to his credit he has a 6-0-0 record with a 1.13 GAA and two shutouts in six career starts at Madison Square Garden.
Yikes... they better get to this guy quick
