No thanks from the Leafs. I'd like to upgrad our 5th overall for the 2nd overall to draft Grigorenko, but not a the price of Schenn and Ashton.

Edmonton would've taken a defenseman at number two. Now I'm pretty sure it will go..

Also keep in mind that third rounder next year is like a low second in a deeper draft. Also trading Schenn frees up 3.8 million in cap space and gives us more wiggle room to try to upgrade our forwards.

Too much to give up just to move up 3 spots in a draft where picks 2-5 are considered quite similar in value. Why not just stay put and take whoever falls to them out of Grigorenko, Galchenyuk, Forsberg and Murray? Any of those players would fill a need on the Leafs.

To me Galchenyuk could be the biggest steal in years. I had the same surgery as him last June. Here I am not even a year later fully recovered. Not too mention I'm not an athlete of any kind lol. If he wasn't out all season he could've battled Yakupov for top spot maybe even surpassed him. Not too mention the comparisons range from Marian Hossa to Ron Francis. I think the Leafs need this kid desperately.

Why in the hell would you give up so much to move 3 spots where you'll get same guy at #5??
Clb might go for Murray, They already have Johansson(sp) as their future num 1 C, so i think they'll rather draft a potential num 1 D on murray...

Nope. I want the Leafs to draft @ 5. Any one of the top four forwards + Murray. A great place to draft.

Anyone picked from 2-5 could just as easily be better than the other. No reason to give up Schenn when you can get Galchenyuk at #5.
