If we go with the NHL lottery (April 10th0 we have to finish season before April 10th.
If the season isn't done, we just need to insure teams don't purposefully change the way they have been lining up their team, otherwise a draft position penalty will occur. This won't be a major issue either way, as the season should be done, or perhaps 1 game left.

I thought that had already been established - yes, there's no reason not to go with the NHL lottery to determine which position moves up in our draft.

I had understood the intention was to use the result of the NHL lottery to determine ours for a couple of years, schedule permitting. Since this is the first time the schedule actually does permit, it'll be the first year we do it. It shouldn't be a big deal either way, but it's kinda cool to have Bill Daly announce the HFNHL results on live TV.

I thought we had used the NHL results 2 or 3 years ago.
I think it would be fun to tie it to the NHL results since it's a show we can follow along with.
