Makes more sense... I was checking his post-draft weight (listed at 179) and was trying to figure out how he managed to put on 20 lbs. throughout the course of his season... Juicing?

If he rounds out at 190-195 that would be great... Like his potential....

Whalers won their game 4-3, up 2-1 in the series. JT was scoreless, +2.
Oil Kings up 4-1 late in the 3rd, MSC with 2 primary assists.

Looks like they'll sweep another round. They'll be up 3-0 on the Wheat Kings. I think it's around 20 games in a row they've won now.

5 points and a +5 in 8 playoff games for McIlrath thus far. Definitely exceeding expectations

Good for him. It would be huge for him to finish his Junior career strong, assuming he's playing in the AHL next year.

Just to let you know, my article re the NCAA and Euro prospects was just posted. Some interesting info here, particularly about who remains in the Rangers' plans.

Good morning Leslie, great to hear from you as always. Any idea on who the Rangers may be after as a college UFA?

Schultz is the obvious one. Can't say about any others. I know that, given their success with players from the SEL, it would not be surprising if the Rangers both drafted some under the radar guys in the late rounds and signed one or two Euros as UFAs.

Interesting to hear that. I haven't really heard a ton about any specific Euro FA's like we have in the past with "The Monster", Brunnstrom, Leino and MZA but I would be open to the idea for sure.

Oil Kings with yet another sweep. They do it in good fashion: 6-0 win over the Wheat Kings. Somehow, MSC didn't have any points. Did finish a +2 though.

Let's hope they don't meet in center ice or at the blue line, or St. Croix could be in trouble.

McIlrath is REALLY stepping up his game in the playoffs. Great to see him hopefully leave on a high note.

I hope the Rangers get Noreau to the Whale ASAP. Get him as much experience as possible. I think he is going to be a keeper.

not so fast;

http://theprospectpark.blogspot.com/

Junior A hockey in Canada is a bit different as now Penticton moves on to face the winners of the Alberta Junior Hockey League in the Doyle Cup which will begin on April 20. If Penticton wins that then they will move on to play in the RBC Cup which is given to the Canadian National Junior A Champion.

Yeah hah! Hatcher was out of shape and a lumbering skater, Dylan can skate, better than Bickel as of now, he's gotta fill out and become man strong and familiarize himself with our system. I know a lot of fans kept harping about the offensive stats he should be putting up, but I'll just say that the man is good at what he does. He's playing 30+ minutes a night on a winning team that only has one viable scoring threat, and lacks the depth of some other WHL teams. (Reilly has been hurt all year).

Even without Rielly, the Warriors are deeper than most teams in the WHL. This was a pretty weak year in that league, particularly in the Eastern Conference. There's a real dearth of potential NHL talent on most of those teams. Just look at the teams the Warriors steamrolled in the playoffs.

McIlrath VS St. Croix will be very interesting...what does the Whale need more, a bruising Dman or flashy forward?

Would like to see McIlrath leave the WHL on a high note and give St. Croix a reason to return lighting a fire under his ass.

Let's go Warriors...keep your head up Stixy!
