2012 Mock Draft

My Mock for this year

1. Edmonton selects RW Nail Yakupov
Top Dynamic Winger add to explosive young offense. Hall-NH-Yakupov first line

2. Columbus selects D Ryan Murray
The best defenseman in the draft. Great 2-way game. Comes in and plays.

3. Montreal selects C Mikhail Grigorenko
#1 Center who can probably come in and play right away. Great vision and smarts can he put the package together?

4. NY Isles select W Filip Forsberg
Dynamic Winger closer to being NHL ready then others. Pure competitor, complement Tavares and Strome

5. Toronto selects C Alex Galchenyuk
#1 center who might need some time to develop and fully heal his knee. Fills organizational hole and still BPA

6. Anaheim selects D Matthew Dumba
great 2 way defenseman, great skater, adds to a good D core with Fowler

7. Minnesota selects D Griffin Reinhart
Big strong defenseman, becomes a fixture in their top 4 for years to come

8. Carolina selects C Radek Faksa
Fills the center hole that Carolina has. Would look great with the Staal, Skinner and others. Can another Ranger find success in Carolina?

9. Winnipeg selects D Moran Rielly
Defenseman again with a great two way game adding to Enstrom, Buff, Bogosian

10. Tampa Bay selects D Jacob Trouba
Large defenseman selected by Yzerman that can play a strong 2 way game

11. Washington (COL) W Teuvo Teravainen
Small and shifty, but fills secondary scoring need. Can be a huge offensive threat in the future especially in Washington

12. Buffalo selects C Brendan Gaunce
Center who isn't far off from the NHL and can be a great compliment to Ennis/Hodgson up the middle.

13. Dallas selects C Zegmus Girgensons
Adding depth to the centers. Girgensons can easily become a 2/3 line center with a strong two way game. Compliments Ribiero

14. Calgary selects D Cody Ceci
Big strong defenseman with a cannon. Top 4 future defenseman in the Saddledome

15. Ottawa selects W Sebastian Collberg
Another sweed to find success in Kanata.

16. Washington selects D Derrick Pouliot
After getting Teuvo, they take the BPA a defenseman to add some depth.

17. Florida selects D Matt Finn
BPA, North American defenseman to add to their depth

18. Columbus selects LW Pontus Aberg
Aberg brings in some scoring depth after the Blue Jackets get Murray with their first pick

19. San Jose selects D Slater Koekkok
Big D man adding to their Defensive depth

20. Phoenix selects D Olli Matta
Big finish defenseman who takes his talents to the desert

21. Chicago selects C Stefan Matteau
Add depth to their forwards.

22. New Jersey selects G Malcom Subban
Time to start adding depth to the goalies, one needs to emerge when Brodeur retires.

23. Tampa Bay (Det) selects D Ludvig Bystrom
Sweedish Defenseman to play with Hedman in the future?

24. Boston selects D Brady Skeji
American defenseman add depth to an already deep organization

25. Philadelphia selects D Hampus Lindholm
Solid Sweed defenseman adding depth to their defense and is probably only a few years away from being a top 4 defenseman

26. Buffalo (Nsh) selects C Henrik Samuelsson
Ulf's son who is rising fast. Buffalo takes him and adds him to the weak offensive depth. Plays with passion and heart and still can score, also can agitate. Can play wing or center.

27. Pittsburgh selects LW Tomas Hertl
A winger with lots of potential to play with all those dynamite center in the Burgh'

28. St. Louis selects D Jordan Schmaltz
Large 2 way defenseman who needs more time to develop.

29. NY Rangers select RW Tom Wilson
A future fan favorite in the Big Apple. A role guy who can be a power forward on the third line in time.

30. Vancouver selects W Colton Sissons
Adding a captain and two way player who can play center or wing

Don't mind Dumba...but why Forsberg to the Isles? Seems redundant with Moulson, Okposo, and Niederreiter and they're in pretty dire need of some defense...plus a NYI scout allegedly blurted out that NYI is going with D.

Rielly to the Jets....uhmmmmm. I don't think that's a good idea. They already have Enstrom, Buff, and Bogo like you said...they need someone to stabilize that blueline and shut guys out. Trouba makes more sense there. I'd be shocked to see him fall to 10
