Burmistrov to Edmonton

Really like his game and would also think the Oil might want to give Yak a fellow countryman to help his transition to the NHL as well as a player to develop chemistry with, etc. (We have Khabby, but he's old as dirt and gone in a year).

Would Gagner get it done? Maybe add a pick?

Speaking as an outsider, the Jets love Burmistrov. Gagner does not even come close to getting it done.

Yes, what Edmonton needs is more young forwards.

Easily no to both of these. Gagner is a non starter for Burmistrov.

Dude, I know relative corsi gives you the biggest boner and what not, but sometimes you just have to watch the player. Not that I've seen a ton of Jets games, but when I have I've always noticed Burmistrov and can totally understand why they wouldn't part with him for Gagner (though I don't think Gagner ever gets the credit he deserves).

For whatever reason the offence hasn't come for Burmistrov, but some parts of his game and playing style really make you think poor man's Datsyuk.

What about Gagner and Marincin? It feels like overpayment from the Oil side as I'm loathe to give up a smooth skating 6'5 Dman who should fill out to 210, but I really want Burmistrov.

From the Winnipeg point of view Gagner is simply a no go. Going forward the Jets need to get bigger down the middle. Gagner just doesn't take them in that direction.

Burmistrov always looks so impressive when I see him play, how does he not pick up more points?

Hes worth more than MPS, and I wouldnt trade him for Gagner if I was a Jets fan either.

Hall/RNH/Eberle.

It would take one of the three to get Burmistrov.

You don't really want him if that feels like overpaying to you.

Hall is probably closer in value, Jets will have to add a pick or something though

No one on the Oilers is really of any interest to the Jets, other than the big 3 but Oilers are not going to part with one of them for Burmi so I don't think there's a fit here.

So what, is Edmonton trying to ice a team with an all forward lineup?

Oiler fans thinking one of MPS/Gagner is enough to land Burmistrov have simply not seen enough of him to make a reasonable proposal.

To me he's on the cusp of something special with his talent level. Definitely the middle ground between someone like Gagner and someone like RNH. You're going to have to overpay to get him from the Jets.

The kid is filthy, would love to have him but would not like the asking price. I don't see 'peg moving him for anything but a sure fire star

Now we're talking.

Eberle takes away the sting of losing Burmi, plus Oil get a D Man

Oiler fans should never mention Gagner or Pajaarvi ever.
We all understand, Edmonton fans dont want em, but neither does anyone else. They have 0 value.
