I'll be heading up north tomorrow as well. 840 km by car. I'll be like a zombie for a day or two, the Flyers better make it worth it. Thank goodness my two brothers will be travelling with me and can take care of the driving while I sleep...
I used to do that living in Europe, but now with Gamecenter, I wake up with a coffee and skip commercials. Having said that, I don't think I will be able to sleep through this live. PS. We have friends from skellefteå if that is where you are going.

Also watching the light vs dark video, i just realized there is a star wars similarity with Jagr and pens. Mario is Darth Vader, and Jagr (Mario Jr) is Luke, leaving the dark side.
The penguins version would be Jagr is Vader, emperor is Mario and crosboy is Luke (which fits crosbys whiney personality!)

Yeah, if I have something important to do in the morning I usually make sure I get a good night's sleep and watch the game afterwards. With the playoffs though, I'll have to see at least the first game live.
No, I'm not heading all the way up to Skellefteå. In a way I am glad that we're not, since that would have made the journey there 400 km longer (and the journey back home as well of course), but at the same time the atmosphere there must be spectacular right now. They are playing in the Swedish finals right now (lost the first game though, 2-5, Joacim Eriksson looked really shaky). I'm staying in Sundsvall. Which isn't really "up north", come to think of it, it's actually pretty much in the middle of Sweden. It's very much north of Gothenburg though.
Damnit. Why the hell is this on Comcast? I have to watch a damn playoff game on a stream now.

Either way I can't watch it at home since we don't get Vs. (now NBC sports) and CSN Philly gets blacked out during the playoffs even if we aren't playing Pittsburgh so I'm hoping its just on NBCS because I would rather not have to watch ROOT Pitt and their brainwashing banter.
It was ridiculous last postseason, Pitt vs. Tampa , we play Buffalo, I can watch Flyers games all season long and me and my buddies are sitting down to watch Game 1 when boom, blackout.... TO THE BAR!

I was so happy when I saw the early game on the 15th! I'll be getting in to watch the game about an hour before puck drop- just enough time to settle in with food and a beer before the game.
Tonight I'm hoping the boys give me something to get excited about- no fun waiting over 19 hours for puck drop after you wake up. If I can stay up for the late games it'll be a miracle, but I've got two big cans of red bull on hand.
