George McPhee....The Teflon GM. 15 years of failure and counting....
6 - Number of playoff series the Capitals have won since George McPhee took over as General Manager in 1997 (which makes him the third-longest-tenured GM in the League), three of which came in McPhee's first season on the job.
That guy deserved a gross misconduct. He is angry, I like him. Hell lets lace him up in a 55. Maybe its all a sign. Sure Sarge gets abused at times but he at least now catches forwards unsuspecting.
It will be interesting to see if he or any of our top 6 Dmen increase their willingness to hit - ok try. It may not take many games before we see Orlov or Erskine.
If they don't at least try, all our dmen might as well be serving up fruit punch and creme puffs in the crease. Show some sacks!

But if they don't start hitting, it will really just be part of Hunter's larger (and wiser) plan.
On the whole attendance question, if you sell the tickets, you sell the tickets, whether you do so minutes before, or minutes after, the start of the game. How early doesn't really rile me up too much. A sellout is a sellout.
As a Canucks fan I really hope you guys come out and play your ***** off and send Tim Thomas and those ugly Bruins to the golf course early. GO CAPS GO!!!!!!!!!
I have a couple of coworkers who are season ticket holders. Typically selling a couple of playoff tickets can really offset or even pay for their playoff tickets. Can't blame them too much.

Yeah, two years ago, there was a pair of STH in my section that used the money they made off playoff tickets to entirely pay for the regular season. So getting season tickets for free isn't too bad a deal.
I've debated it at times, but the major reason I bought season tickets was so I'd have guaranteed playoff tickets.
I'm trying to sell all but games where the Caps can eliminate the Bruins this year, so that's likely all the home games.
I don't even want to think about Chara's tee shot.
His in game shot isn't close to what his competition shot is. Some of its due to just trying to get it 3 or so inches of the ice, but he doesn't really make too many people hobble off the ice quite like Weber does.
So no way in hell it was George? This doesn't cost George dick! George will never admit he caved
That Russian Oly coach seemed to be "Boudreauing", using Ovi a ton. Over a few decent players, IIRC. He did seem quite the idiot to me.
I wonder what the odds are on the coveted John Druce award. Sure we usually fizzle out before one can even be born. I suspect Ward is getting even money.
My candidate, I am going to take Danny Noona.... err Jay Beagle. Backup candidate, MP
I think it's going to be MP85. He's got a knack, and if he ends up getting icetime with 8 or 28, he could be a big contributor to the stat sheet.
