Hot damn. That's the equal of a first date being Heather Locklear.

Truth is, I don't recall the exact game.

i guess it did, i don't remember as much from that game as i do from the playoff game vs. the rangers he took me to that year. 17,000+ fans doing the a-hole chant leaves quite an impression on an 8 year old.

I think my first game was around 86 or 87 against the North Stars with Kari Takko in net. I was in the 5th row behind the penalty box at the old Spectrum. I just remember thinking how cool the North Stars jersey were and liked Takko's white pads. I'm pretty sure the Flyers beat them but can't recall. I kind of remember Neil Broten having some kind of impact on the game...

Edit: Had to be the 86-87 season b/c I remember my ticket having the 20th Year Anniversary celebratory markings on it...can't remember the player they were honoring.

My dad took me. Great comeback win. Flyers went down 1-0 and scored 3 goals in the third to win 3-1.

I lost th ticket stub when moving a few months ago. Incredibly disappointed. Can't believe I lost it.

That game was probably when Minnesota snapped about a 10-year losing streak in the Spectrum. The memorable incident with Broten was probably when he and the great Derrick Smith got in a heated scrum, Smith speared him and was tossed from the game.

I think it might have been that game then..where they actually lost...but I'm not so sure but then again not sure why I remember Neil Broten having some kind of impact although he was always involved as a player.

I looked at the sked and I noted 3 games they played against Minnie...

Oct 26, 1986 Flyers won 4-1

Dec 13, 1986 Flyers lost 5-4

Mar 1, 1987 Flyers lost 5-4

I either went to the Oct or Dec game.....

Edit: Wait a minute....no I actually think I attended my first game in 84-85....it was against Montreal and Pelle was in net. I have pictures come to think of it. One of them is of Pelle taking practice shots in net and the other was the Flyers sadly going off into the locker room and the Beast and Crossman were in it. We lost that game

Lindros had a 6 point night. I was ecstatic.

Saw plenty of games in Toronto and Montreal before this, but here's my first Philadelphia game.

http://www.flyershistory.com/cgi-bin...e.cgi?19880478

I wasn't even a Flyers fan yet (pre-Lindros), or even living in Vancouver. My dad and I were visiting the area from Ontario because he had a conference; we saw the Cancuks play the Jets and then the Flyers before we went up to Whistler for a few days.

Nearly 30 live Flyers' games later and I've only seen them lose 3 times, including this first game.
