Sort of like fantasy hockey, but keeping it a little simpler. List out your picks for each of the rounds, and the number of games the series will go. Each successful pick in the 1st round yields 1 point, 2nd round 2 points, 3rd round 4 points, and the Stanley Cup Finals 8 points. Each correct number chosen for the series length is 1 point. I'll try to report the scores after each round. Remember to re-seed the teams after the first round

might want to do this by round. will keep people who don't do well in one round interested because all their teams won't be knocked out. just my thought.

Well we could easily have two different kinds of winners. A round by round winner and an overall. Two separate competitions in one.

Conn Smyth: Malkin.
Can't see anyone stopping Pittsburgh this year.
You did the same as me, listed one team as winning the series then put the other team in the next series (NJD/Florida in your case).
I would tend to agree about nobody stopping Pittsburgh but the fact they will have to go through Philly then likely Boston in the second round is enough reason for me to think they'll be so beat up they don't get through both series.
just a thought not a complaint. i'm good either way.
i just know how it feels when your predictions go bad in one round and your boned the rest of the game is all.
we were both pretty close in terms of series length in the first round...glad to see i'm not out of the loop.
It's sort of framed like march madness. Which is why there is increasing point totals at later stages . I thought about doing that as well, but it makes it too easy once we get to the SCF where you have a 50% chance of winning that round's pick and then a 25% chance of picking the right number of games, so really, just a 1/8 chance of getting all the points. I want to create more of a range, but maybe it's just me.

I hope I got seedings correctly. I also hope I'm wrong about everything, since I'm on the Flyers/Panthers/Preds/'Yotes bangwagons though I also wouldn't mind Boston winning it again.
