Let's Go Pens! It's going to be a great series no matter how it bears out IMO. I'm sure this thread will get ugly, but I hope I'm wrong and there's just some great hockey talk between two passionate fan bases. That and I hope there's a million dollars on my door step when I get home tonight lol.
There's one thing that worries me if we lose and that's if we let the monkey onto our back again about Philadelphia beating us more times than not at the CEC.
Win this game and that monkey should finally be put to bed.
Woot Woot! This is EXACTLY the best way to start the playoffs. This series has soo much hype I just hope it isnt a love fest and that these teams don't play on their heels in a conservative manner trying not to make mistakes.
If Both these teams come out and take risks this should be some incredible hockey.
I've got the Flyers in 6! if they win this series they will throw a wrench into about 85% of the media populations spokes.
McKenzie said it best yesterday on TSN, they are all taking Pittsburgh to the cup, but aren't even confident they will win this series, and if they don't, they're taking Philly to the cup!
Thinking the same. Winner should move forward. Would prefer it in the E.C. Finals though.
Both great offensive teams. I'll echo it's a shame they are meeting in the first round BUT it will make for some great hockey. Good luck to the Flyers and thier fans and may the best team win.

I believe there would need to be an alternate universe for that to happen
Why not? That's how they've beaten the Pens every other time.

While all those games were fun, Id much rather than be up 2-0 early. The playoffs are a different setting and I expect the Penguins to be much better defensively.
